"What is it? Just say it," Mrs. Smith said.

"Fine, I'm pregnant," she quickly let it out and then shut her eyes deeply waiting for a slap or something of the sort.

"Wait? Pregnant? Is it Ethan's wow, that is good we finally have a bargaining chip," Mrs. Smith said excitedly. The gods had finally favored her. She had been worried lately about how Lisa was enjoying herself while Lara was out here struggling who knew this would happen so soon? 

"What did you say? What bargaining chip, Ethan?"

"Why do you sound so shocked if it isn't Ethan's child who else?"

"Mum, it's Gary's," Lara replied softly as she read her mother's expression. Seeing that she was just silent she heaved a sigh of relief as she waited for what she would say next.

"Who cares? You were still with him before that bitch,"

"But mum, what if he finds out? We can't afford to mess with the James family,"
