Chapter 109 - Ms Aoki

When Kaito and Ms Aoki's eyes meet together, it's a fleeting moment of surprise as, for some reason, Kaito feels his heart racing.

'Is this love?' Kaito thinks, putting his hand on his stomach when she breaks eye contact first. 'No, my stomach is fine, so why am I suddenly so tense?' he wonders.

"Today, let's make things a little more interesting. I'm thinking of asking you a few simple questions. What do you think?" Before any answers could be formed, she continued. "Perfect. Let's start with... Kaito Zhao, how about coming to the front?" 

The room's attention instantly converges on Kaito, as if an invisible spotlight has found him. A quiet sigh escapes his lips as he rises from his seat. He feels the pressure of curious stares, a current of curiosity that seems to pull him towards the front of the room. With calm steps, he crosses the distance to the teacher's desk while being stared at by all the other students, who are silent.
