Chapter 41: The fourth team member

The words that had came out of Stacy's mouth had sounded like a surprise to Alex. Did she meant what she said? No, the question should be, how did she know they needed a fourth player for their Vr game team.

"You were taking too long at table 12, so I decided to take the tray of foods to the other customers, and then I overheard you guys talking about needing a fourth player for your team." Stacy explained.

"Since you also needed my help, why don't we both benefit each other either way. I'll reduced your shift to 9pm without taking out of the fixed salary we agreed on. While in return, I'll join your team as the fourth player." Stacy requested, and Alex on the other hand was very much obliged to accept her request.

"Well, if you had come normally to join our team, we would have accepted you as our fourth member." Alex said, wondering why she had to almost threaten him for the position into their team, when she could have just come to request for it.
