As he streaked through the heavens, the anger within Issei intensified, mingling with a profound sense of betrayal. Never before had he felt such rage, such burning fury.

He acknowledged his own naivety, realizing that he had underestimated the devils' audacity and the depth of their malicious intent. No longer could he afford to be passive or complacent.

The time for diplomacy and restraint had passed. Now, he would show them the true extent of his power, the depths of his wrath.

Issei's thoughts churned, contemplating the message he would unleash upon his enemies. He had no desire for political games or conflicts, but he would stop at nothing to protect his loved ones.

The devils had crossed a line, and they would pay a heavy price for their transgressions. This devil, this despicable being who dared to threaten his friends, would meet a swift and brutal end.

The thought of their demise ignited a fierce determination within Issei, propelling him forward with an unstoppable force.

Issei's wings flared with power, two of the four majestic appendages extending outward. His muscles tensed, ready to unleash his full might and even tap into the strength of his Boosted Gear if necessary.

The irrational anger and hatred coursing through his veins threatened to consume him entirely, but amidst the tempest of emotions, Issei managed to maintain a sliver of clarity.

He understood the repercussions his retaliation would bring, the storm it would unleash. This pathetic devil believed he could abduct Issei's friends and seek refuge behind the Maou and the nobility, using politics as a shield. But the dragon cared little for such political games.

A guttural growl of fury escaped Issei's lips as he propelled himself through the sky with even greater speed. His mind was consumed by vengeance, his focus solely on reaching his destination.

In his blinded rage, he momentarily forgot that his usual illusion spell, the one that negated Gabriel's presence, was not currently in effect.

It took only a moment for his realization to dawn upon him as a blinding light intercepted his path.

Annoyance flashed across his features as he found himself face to face with none other than Gabriel herself.

Though she made no attempt to halt his progress, the archangel effortlessly matched his speed, flying directly beside him. Issei's attention was caught by her voice, cutting through his anger like a blade. "Issei Hyoudou, wait!"

'I don't have time for this damn interference!' he thought, his irritation evident as he momentarily paused his flight, flapping his wings midair. He saw no point in rushing back into the dimensional gap with the seraph by his side.

He shot her a fierce glare, his anger seeping into his voice as he snapped, "I don't have time for this, Gabriel. Leave me be!"

Her response was swift, her words carrying a sense of urgency. "It's your friends, isn't it? Irina Shidou and Xenovia Quarta, the exorcist girls, were kidnapped about an hour and a half ago. I would have intervened, but I was preoccupied with Michael-kun. However, I have obtained his permission to rescue them from their captor. I apologize for allowing this to happen, Issei-kun," Gabriel explained, her voice tinged with remorse.

Despite the ever-growing rage that threatened to consume him, Issei found himself momentarily taken aback by the archangel's humility and apology.

He tilted his head, a mix of curiosity and cautious hope in his eyes. "So, you know who took them?!" he inquired, his voice laced with a desperate urgency.

"Michael-kun and I have confirmed that a high-class devil from the Astaroth Clan, specifically Diodora Astaroth, is responsible," Gabriel calmly explained, her voice steady despite the tense situation. "We have witnessed him targeting holy maidens before, transforming them into devils for his own peerage."

In a moment of overwhelming rage, Issei's grip tightened around Gabriel's throat, his anger spilling out in a torrent of words.

His voice was filled with anguish and accusation. "If that despicable creature turned them into devils, then I swear I'll kill you! Irina and Xenovia, they pray to you damn angels, and yet you did nothing to protect them! What could have possibly been so important that you allowed this to happen to my friends? If you knew who was responsible and had seen this before, why didn't you stop it?!"

Gabriel struggled for breath, her voice choked as she attempted to respond. "I-Issei-I..."

Issei's rage continued to surge, his words laced with bitterness. "I know God is dead, but what is wrong with you people?! Aren't you supposed to protect your own? You're utterly useless! ALL OF YOU!" His hiss dripped with frustration and disappointment.

Gabriel's expression revealed genuine shock and a hint of fear as she struggled against Issei's powerful grip. She couldn't break free, and his knowledge about God's death caught her off guard.

Summoning her strength, Gabriel managed to speak again, her voice strained. She reached up, attempting to pry his hand open slightly. "Y-you know about God's death?"

Issei's eyes blazed with a mix of anger and sadness as he answered, his voice tinged with bitterness. "Yeah, and I kept it from them because I didn't want to shatter their hope. But now, they need to face the reality that you angels are incapable of keeping them safe! If God were alive, he would be ashamed of every single one of you!" As his eyes began to glow with a golden hue, his grip tightened further, causing Gabriel to gasp and choke.

However, a sudden surge of clarity washed over Issei, piercing through the haze of his anger. He realized the weight of his actions, the injustice of taking his rage out on Gabriel.

Loosening his grip, he released her, his voice filled with remorse. "Shit, what am I doing? It's not your fault. It's mine! They were my friends, my kin. This is my failure. Why am I directing my anger towards you?"

The heaviness of his guilt settled upon him as he faced the consequences of his actions, the weight of his responsibility for his friends' plight.
