Although Rocky knew his actions were completely out of place and the rest of the group, especially Amy, would get mad at him, he was too tempted to kill the monster rank cryptid. It wasn't just that monster rank flux orbs were more expensive, but he also knew that killing cryptids could potentially increase a hunter's flux capacity and he was close to the heavenly rank, so close he could almost grasp it.
The serpent had the terrain advantage and gained a lot of distance, but it was also losing a lot of blood and its speed was decreasing. It seemed as though it would eventually drop dead at any given time which only added fuel to Rocky's desperate race.
Just when Rocky thought he was almost within his reach that the cryptid seemingly disappeared into the ground and Rocky stopped right in front of a black pit.
"Crap!" He said trying to gather his breath, though Uriel didn't share his frustration as he saw exactly what he had been looking for.
