As he began by casting his innate flame spell, flame aura.

Previously, every time Alec casted the innate spell, he would attach it to either his flame slash to give it more edge or he would attach it to the Terran bullet spell, which served as his innate spell for the earth element.

However after watching how the captain of the Crimson Rose Academy team, Aria Bloodthorn, manipulated flaming aura he decided that this time he would use the spell differently.
