TROUBLE AT THE MALL

The onlookers started whispering to each other, "Look, her name is written on the card, why are these shameless people causing her trouble?"

Another one said,"Aren't people allowed to have black cards anymore, don't they have something better to do than to harass someone who is peacefully shopping?"

People kept saying nasty things about Mary and Juliet and their faces became flushed with embarrassment.

However one person's comment caught everyone's attention. "Wait, isn't that the Hart's family daughter in law? Why are they harassing her like this in public, are they not afraid that this will ruin their reputation?"

After that was said, everyone took a closer look at Erika and it was confirmed. Someone said, "She is the daughter in law indeed."

Mary gritted her teeth in anger, forgetting her reputation she barked,"What did all of you say? She's not my daughter in law, she divorced my son and left with no alimony so who gave her the rights to own a black card?"

She was so jealous and angry, she had asked Adam to give her a black card for a while now but he never granted her request, so how did the poor Erika get one all of a sudden?

Monica who had been quiet all these while spoke, "And who do you think you are to order what she should own and shouldn't own?"

She was starting to get annoyed with these jobless pair in front of her.

The mother and daughter duo looked at Monica and immediately recognized her. Monica Smith, the daughter of James Smith, one of the biggest business tycoons and also the one whom her husband has been trying to form a partnership with for a long time now.

How did Erika know such a person? She decided to act polite to Monica and said politely.

"Miss Smith, this woman you are seeing here is not who you think she is , she is a slut who seduced my son into marrying her and then divorced him to get money from him. But thankfully, my son was smart and refused her so am sure she seduced another man to get that card in her hands."

She doesn't know how they know each other but it's better she spoils their relationship before Erika starts getting any ideas.

The onlookers where shocked with what she just said and started changing sides immediately.

"Oh my word, is that really her true nature? I never expected her to be this shameless to seduce her ex-husband."

"If what madam Mary is saying is true then she is really is a slut".

Mary and Juliet started gloating when they heard the shoppers comments, but the expression they were waiting to see on Erika's face was totally the opposite of what she was showing. She looked calm, too calm.

Erika looked at the crowd that had formed and looked at her ex mother in law. She said, "Do you have evidence to proof you claim?" The crowd looked at them, waiting for proof.

Mary stammered, "I.... well...no....b...but where did you get that c...card from?"

"That is non of your business, old woman." That comment flared up Mary's anger and she raised her hand to slap Erika. Old woman?

She wasn't an old woman, but the truth was that she was in her early fifties but used a lot of expensive skincare to look younger but for her to be called old, it was the biggest insult she has ever received.

Erika dodges the slap and Mary stumbled forward and almost fell, but Juliet caught her quickly. The crowd gasped. Mary felt humiliated again. What she wanted Erika to feel. Monica laughed loudly, "Better watch your steps grandma."

Erika was starting to get tired of this childish show that they created and simply said, "I told you earlier that you should mind your business but of course no, you didn't listen. Well don't blame me if I decide to make you pay, right?"

She took out her phone and called the police and complained. In 10 minutes, they arrived at the scene. Erika went to the captain and sued Mary and Juliet for the case of harassment.

The captain took her seriously and arrested the both of them immediately. They couldn't say anything because of Monica and, besides, they could post bail but they didn't realize that someone took a video of the whole scene and uploaded it. Now, they have started trending on social media with many nasty comments about them.

"They are so unreasonable, is it a crime if she has a black card? I really don't understand."

Someone else typed, "They even accused her of seducing rich men but don't even have proof of it."

Another one said, "it seems like they are jobless and just wanted to cause trouble, but they messed with the wrong person and even tried to slap her, they have gone too far".

Another one said, "I thought the Hart's were full of nice people but I guess I was wrong, they deserve to go to prison, just because they are rich, it doesn't mean they are above the law, hmph!"

Many netizens rained more insults on them but the two people who were arrested didn't know that a bomb was about to explode on their head on the social media.

They all reached the station. Erika and Monica followed them with their car. Juliet and Mary were so angry at how things had turned out for them. They didn't want to make things worse because they were afraid that Monica would make things worse for them.

The captain told them they could only be released with a fine of 1 millions dollars. They were shocked that it was that expensive, but the people whom they offended were not ordinary people. They gritted their teeth and transferred the money so that they can leave.

Juliet glared at Erika and said,

"I'll never forget this humiliation Erika, I will make you pay for it."

The captain reminded them that they just made a threat in front of him so if anything was to happen to Erika, they will be sent to jail.

Juliet wished she held her mouth until they left the captain's office. She gritted her teeth and left with her mother. She can't hurt Erika now until everything cools down.

Erika saw the transferred money and gave it to charity. She doesn't want to have a single cent from those people.
