Welcome home

Again, a knock on the door interrupted his workflow. This time, Stan came in without knocking a second time. Declan smiled. "What's going on? Did she leave already?"

He shook his head. "No. She's downstairs, but Mr. Sanchez is also downstairs."

"Alex is here?"

He nodded. Declan stood up and walked outside. Alex hadn't mentioned anything about coming to his office. Why was he here all of a sudden? With every step he took, he could feel the eyes of his employees on him. He was certain they had questions they wanted to ask, but they had no idea how to approach him. He lifted his eyes, and everyone turned back to their work, diligently focusing on their tasks. Declan smiled and shook his head. People were always curious about things that had nothing to do with them.
