In the Palace

Ethan's heart seemed to stop beating as he heard the news from Eric that Helena was at the palace. "Why? Wasn't the schedule supposed to be tomorrow?"

Eric shook his head. "The Queen read Lady Helena's proposal about the annual program. She seemed very interested and asked Lady Helena to come earlier."

"Did she bring a proposal about the scheduled intercity gate?" Ethan asked, panicking. 

"I don't think so. She might just briefly mention the plan," Eric replied.

Ethan could only swallow his saliva. His face turned pale. Was it already too late?

"She was looking for you earlier, wanting you to accompany her to the palace since you will explain better than her. But you were nowhere to be found. What's the matter?" Eric asked, noticing that Ethan wasn't pleased with the news that should have made him happy.
