Trick 100: Dragon's Friendship

Months came and went

Nobody had heard from Ace at all, not even Sharon as she worried a bit, figuring he was on Asgard. However, the time continued passing and she grew increasingly worried as she heard absolutely nothing.

The only thing that gave her a bit of calm was the fact that sightings of a man in a hoodie with a red bird appeared around the country in multiple places. Everywhere he was seen, there was a commotion as he appeared out of nowhere!

Sharon was even given the case.

However, how could she catch him? It was nearly impossible, unless he stopped for her. But she had a feeling he was doing something important. You don't usually tell someone you love them then disappear off the face of the Earth…

Sure enough, she was right.

She got a text one day, 'I'm okay. Busy though.' she let out a breath of relief, replying simply 'Need help?' There was a minute of time before a reply came 'I love you, but no. You can't help. It's a magic problem. You're amazing though, I miss you too. Gtg. ♥️'

Sharon smiled to herself and replied 'Be safe' an instant reply 'God I love you.' Sharon giggled to herself and let out a breath, at ease as she returned to work.

Another few months passed

A hooded man stepped into Gringotts and looked around, a little baby phoenix in his pocket. He turned his head and a black crack was seen over his eye, he walked to the middle teller, speaking in Gobbledygook "Bring me to the vaults."

The Goblin looked at him and frowned "Who are you?" Ace looked up at him and his eyes were glowing purple as the bank around the Goblin started turning into ruins as he repeated in English, "I said bring me into the vaults."

The Goblin looked around in panic, shouting "What are you doing!? Stop!" Ace took out his wand and said "Fine, the hard way it is. Cruc-" The Goblin held up his hands and said quickly "Fine! Fine! Please don't hurt me!" Ace flicked his wand to the side, saying "On with it."

The Goblin hopped off the podium and hobbled away, saying "T-This way!" Ace followed him as the bank returned to normal as though nothing had happened, only the Goblin was leading him away.

Ace curled his lips and walked into another room.

The Goblin sat on a minecart and Ace stepped inside, saying "If you deceive me… I don't think you need me to tell you what will become of you, hm?" The Gobin trembled and nodded, "Yes, my lord! W-W-Where should I go?" Ace closed his eyes and said "Down."

The Goblin swallowed and nodded, driving the Minecart down.

Ace gave the Goblin directions until they stopped at a certain Vault. Ace said "It's here. Move." The Goblin shrank back and shook his head, Ace frowned "Are you deaf? I said move!" as he threw the Goblin forward.

The Goblin got up and ran back, hiding behind Ace's legs, saying "M-M-My lord! The-The guard! It-It-It!" Ace and the Goblin heard a dragon's roar and the Goblin shrieked in fear as Ace dragged him forward, throwing him in front as he said "You must have a way. Don't try and fool me."

The Goblin shivered and picked up a rattle from a box, shaking it at the dragon guarding the vault.

Ace walked over to see a pure white dragon cowering at the sound of the rattle.

Ace frowned and said in draconian "Who put you here?" The dragon roared ceaselessly "Don't hit! Pain! Pain!" Ace frowned and walked over to the dragon, stroking its head as he said "Stay. Help. Leave. No pain. Good?"

The Dragon roared weakly "Pain! Leave!" Ace nodded and said "Move it Goblin!" The Goblin was even more afraid now, running forward to the Vault door.

He placed his hand on the door and it slowly opened, Ace kicked the Goblin inside, saying "Don't move. Everything in here is cursed." The Goblin covered his head on the ground and stopped moving.

Ace walked into the vault as the door closed behind him. Fawkes chirped in his pocket and Ace rubbed his head, saying "Yeah, buddy. I can feel it too." he looked around before focusing on a golden chalice.

He reached out and curled his fingers gently, the cup slowly floating to him. He took out a cloth and wrapped the cup in cloth, grabbing it before kicking the Goblin, "Open the door."

The Goblin shivered and opened the door before running away, shouting "Help! Help!" Ace shook his head and waved his wand, a chain wrapping around the Goblin and pulling him back as a pillar of flames swept by his nose.

The Goblin froze and fainted.

Ace looked at the Goblin and shook his head, sighing "Sleep, you stupid goblin bastard…" as he tapped his wand on the Goblin gently, he fell into a deep sleep just outside of the vault door as Ace left.

The Vault door closed behind him and chains wrapped around the Goblin before Ace walked to the Dragon.

He held out his hand, saying "Easy. Help. Leave." The Dragon roared at him, shouting "Leave! Leave!" before breathing out fire.

Ace waved his hand and pulled the flames into a ball, looking at the dragon, who paused, staring at him curiously.

Ace snapped his fingers and the flames disappeared just like that. He held out his hand and slowly approached the Dragon, saying in Draconian "Me. Help. Leave. Okay?" The Dragon snapped his jaws at him, roaring "Leave! Help?"

Ace nodded, waving his wand at the chains. The Chains around the dragon snapped and fell off as it roared "Leave! Leave!" Ace jumped on its back, saying "Up! Up! Leave! Up!" The dragon roared to the little light hole in the sky, "Up! Leave! Up!" as it started climbing.

Ace looked around and waved his wand as rocks jutted out for the dragon to climb. Clearly it has been in these caves for too long and forgot how to fly. Ace sighed and held onto its back, saying "Up. Leave. Friend."

The Dragon roared "Friend! Friend! Up!" before speeding up. Ace shook his head, who could do such a thing to a cute dragon. It was awful.

The dragon climbed up, smashing through a ceiling and reaching the bank floor. It roared at the Goblins and Ace patted him, saying "Up! Leave! Up! UP!" The Dragon roared and breathed flames at the running Goblins.

Ace waved his wand and created a barrier around the Goblins, preventing them from getting hurt as he shouted "UP!" The Dragon turned up and jumped to the ceiling, smashing through the top of Gringotts as people ran away from the scene.

Ace waved and the rubble turned to confetti, showering down on the people. The Dragon roared "Free! Free! Sun!" Ace stroked its neck, saying gently "Free. Fly. Friend." The Dragon flapped his wings roaring "Friend! Friend!" before taking off slightly, flying to a rooftop.

Ace spread his hands and created a platform for the Dragon to take off again, after a few more platforms, the Dragon flew into the air and roared "Fly! Fly! Free! Friend!" Ace smiled as the wind brushed his hood off, fluttering his hair behind him.

He looked much older, since he hadn't shaved while looking for the Horcruxes… So he had a beard! It was a very nice full beard.

Ace stroked the Dragon's neck saying gently "Up. Left. Friend." as he guided the Dragon to Hogwarts.

He held the Cup and closed his eyes, sensing for a feeling that's just like it. The reason why it took him so long to find one of them was because the Ring had been destroyed for so long that the feeling was nearly gone.

He searched everywhere for months, only to finally feel it again when he came back to Diagon Alley.

Now that he had a full blown Horcrux, he could sense much easier.

However, first, he had to bring this poor Dragon to the Horntail. Being with its kind will hopefully be better for it. Not to mention, he wasn't sure about leaving the dragon alone to rampage in Diagon Alley…

Ace sat on the Dragon's back as it flew, giving it directions as he sensed for another Horcrux. He frowned as he started sensing another Horcrux as he got closer and closer to Hogwarts!

After a long while

They finally arrived in the Dark Forest!

Ace said gently, "Down. Down. Good. Friend." The Dragon landed on the ground and Ace got off, stroking the Dragon's neck as he took out a scale from his bag, saying "Friend." The Dragon curled up and looked around in this new environment.

Ace snapped the scale in half and there was a roar deep in the forest. The Dragon roared "Friend! Friend!" Ace shushed it softly, stroking its neck as he said "Wait. Friend. Come."

The Dragon roared "Friend. Come? Friend!" Ace smiled gently, stroking the neck of the Dragon as the Horntail flew out of the Forest, looking at Ace in surprise, asking "My friend! This…?"

The Horntail landed on the ground and sniffed the other Dragon as Ace explained "It was a guard… Anyway, It doesn't know anything. I think it was raised in captivity. They caused a lot of pain in the training, I'm leaving it with you. Is that alright?"

The Horntail nudged the Dragon with his head, replying "It's quite alright. I will protect her." Ace was stunned, a female dragon? What are the odds…

The Dragon nudged the Horntail, saying "Friend. Friend." Ace sighed and stroked her neck, saying "I'm truly sorry." The Horntail nudged Ace, replying "Thank you, my friend. No. My brother. You are family to the Dragons of the Dark Forest."

Ace stroked his head, saying "There's no need. I do not wish to see pain inflicted on anyone. Go. I wish you happiness." The Horntail spat out a little fireball, saying "A token of our friendship."

Ace held the fireball, saying "Dragon Heartfire?! But you-" The Horntail nudged him, saying "The least, Brother. You have my eternal thanks." before nudging the other Dragon, saying "Come."

The Dragon rubbed her head on the Horntail, saying "Friend. Friend. Friend." Over and over again. The Horntail rubbed his head on hers, replying "Yes, friend." before leading her into the Dark Forest and disappearing.

Ace held the Dragon Heartfire, there were multiple uses but they were so extremely rare and nearly impossible to find that they were barely recorded! Ace looked at it and it seemed to beat like a heart!

He looked at Hogwarts in the distance and sat on a rock, taking out his notebook before experimenting with the Dragon Heartfire. He recorded his experiences before finally, consuming the heartfire itself.

Well, he didn't eat it, necessarily. He sort of just absorbed it.

The flames filled his body before disappearing into his brain.

Ace closed his eyes and sat on the rock as brand new spells came to him. It seemed to have this effect as well!

Time passed as Ace sat there, until the morning came.
