He was enjoying the silence, however small it was.
That didn't change the fact that it had been quite a few boring and unfulfilling days, without the constant presence of June there was no need to constantly act.
So it had just been him,his thoughts, system and of course papers.
A whole lot of papers but as always it wouldn't stay by this.
Yet that didn't stop the former servant from finding reason to visit and spy on him, this time he didn't even bother knocking anymore as his door creaked open and a small cart was pushed in, filled with tea and different variations of snacks and sweets.
"I don't remember asking for sweets?" At Least the other still bowed respectively before answering.
''The cooks asked me to bring this with your tea, they have been quite worried since you haven't been eating properly.''June's knowing eyes glittered, making it obvious that it wasn't the cooks that had noticed.
Dismissing the other with a grumble, he waited until he vanished out of the sight of his eyes.
It was true that he was eating less, his research kept him distracted until early morning, resulting in even his sleep being abysmally small, so why would his eating habits be any different?
There was simply no time to feel hungry or eat properly.
Audible sighing, eyes flickering to the screen that displayed June watching through the gap of the door, something he should have expected as he never heard the door close.
Grabbing the cup of the cart he took a small sip, swirling the still not strong enough tea in his mouth as he wondered what the servant expected.
Once more he did place himself smartly, Acacius couldn't see him in reality but as he peered inside June could see him, his desk and the cart full of sweets.
He was rather surprised by the differentiation of colours, size and most likely taste. Yellow, brown, red and then round, cube, big and small. Picking up a red one, he couldn't help but scowl as the smell of berries washed over him.
That was definitely not going to give him the taste he wanted.
Feeling even more grateful for the system and its ability to give him food with just a few clicks, Acaius picked a few snacks at random.
In total he had six in his hands and just to mess with the guy he glanced at the door, before deliberately dumping all of them in the bin, which just so happens to be in range of his wandering eyes.
Shock visible in his subordinate face, eyes widening in surprise before uncertainty clouded them.
Turning and grabbing some book, Acacius crashed back on his chair with a sigh, taking another gulp of tea while flipping page after page, once again not focusing.
It was all about the prominent families, from his kingdom but even the others.
Stilling on the page of the magic kingdom, he frowned. Even though Sophie married into his family, the information of the royalty of the magic kingdom was strangely absent.
Ripping the page in one clean and smooth motion, he dashed over it, nails tracing over names before stilling on Sophie's and shortly after crinkling it.
Calling upon his servant, he promptly stood and threw the page right next to the sweets in the bin.
It didn't surprise him that June entered with stoic eyes, asking what he could do.
''Remove the tea.''
''Yes, sir.''
Watching the other silently take back the tea, placing it on the tray and with a swift glance over the snacks he started making his way back out but just before he could Acacius spoke up.
''Tell the cooks that they should mind their thoughts, next time they are presumptuous again I will take it personally. This is none of their concern, beside there is nothing to worry about."
Disbelieve practically flew off June in waves, hands clutching tightly on the cart as he bowed slightly. ''Yes, your highness.''
"Your own pretentious worry isn't needed either!"
"Forgive me, your highness"
With that he was gone, the door shut in his wake.
It was about time he started with the reprisal of minds.
After all there was only so long that he could get by with metaphors, hidden words and spoken lies.
It was time Sophie turned from the flirting sister in law to the evil and controlling Queen.
After bringing everything in order of course, he did wonder what the spell would bring and how it would affect the character of his sister in law.
