"What's your name?" Yun Che asked quite boldly, but he received a silent treatment in return.

"...I cannot tell. Ask something else."

"Playing hard to get, eh—oops!" He jumped backward, seeing his doorway frozen. Though ice couldn't hurt him, not at her level at least, it didn't hurt to be safe just in case. "Well, calm down. Since you aren't willing, I guess it's time for a pseudonym. Let's see..."

He snapped his fingers and said with a smirk. "I'll call you Little Fairy from now on! That's my first condition."

The aura around Yuechan swayed for a split second before she sighed. "Second."

"Let me see your face."

"...Ask another one."

Yun Che shrugged his shoulders as if he expected such a reply, causing her lips to twitch in annoyance.

She was starting to think if she should freeze him and look for another way to heal her poison.

"Then I want you to protect me." He raised his hand and showed two fingers. "Starting from two months from now on, I want you to protect me for at least three to four months."

"Three months. After two months, I'll protect you for three months."

"Sounds good to me." Yun Che nodded. He couldn't help but wonder if he was quite shameless.

He knew the plot, and even though he didn't keep on following it, he had indeed planned to go to the Azure Dragon God Trial to gain his inheritance after he had taken care of Murong Yi.

As such, the condition he had put could definitely put her life in danger.

But knowing he didn't know her identity, she couldn't find any fault with it. She could only shake her head and walk inside.

Yun Che pointed at the couch and ordered, "Sit and show me your palm. I need to check your pulse."

An expression of displeasure appeared on her face.

She eyed Yun Che as if waiting to find out if he was doing it on purpose just so he could touch her.

In her whole life, she had never allowed another man to touch her. As such, she was extremely against the idea of another man touching her.

As if reading her thoughts, Yun Che rolled his eyes in exasperation.

"Little Fairy, I cannot draw without a pen. Let me check your pulse to see the condition of your body. How am I to cleanse the poison if I don't even know the condition of your body?"

Still, as if in doubt, she kept staring at Yun Che, making him feel awkward. He seriously was starting to think that she was trying to assert dominance here.

Finally, she raised her hand and pulled the robes around it back, revealing her snow-white hand without even a single blemish.

Nodding, Yun Che placed his finger on her pulse and checked it.

'Dayum! She got poisoned by the Sky Profound Realm beast; it has even formed a spirit of its own! Definitely someone out of my paygrade. I would have to spend a shitton of effort to remove it, thankfully, I have Menu.'

"You were fighting a Sky Profound Realm Beast?"

A glint of surprise passed through her eyes, and she nodded.

"I needed its core for… someone. But during the fight, I was injured. I didn't think much of it that time, only after some time had passed, I started to feel symptoms of ice poison. I tried to use Devil's Flaming Blood Crystal, but it only resulted in worsening my condition."

She was making sure that Yun Che didn't pull a little on her. The moment his hand moved somewhere improper, she was punching him for sure.

Thankfully, as Yun Che had stated, he didn't overexert his stay and pulled his hand back after some time. Of course, he made sure to feel her stomach. It felt good.

"There you go. You should be feeling better now since I have erased the poison. Though it will still take some time for your strength to fully recover."

Yuechan looked surprised.

She had thought that he was just checking the exact location of the poison before he would use acupuncture to remove the poison from her body.

She didn't think he was removing the poison directly! In fact, she wondered if such a thing was even possible, as she had never heard of anyone doing it before!

Still, knowing that the poison had been removed, she didn't stay there for another second.

"I'll return after two months."

With that, she vanished. As the silence returned to the room once more, Yun Che pinched his chin and smirked.

"She sure is one frosty woman. Even my wife can't be compared to her. But…" His eyes glinted. "Hehehe. This is fun. I might have found another reason to enjoy my life!"
