Escaping from the hayes duchy (2)

Spencer.

Isla froze at that voice. She then closed her eyes tightly as Spencer was someone she had to look out for apart from the guards. Spencer was a very exceptional butler. The fact that she asked for the keys that unlocked the forgotten gate was quite suspicious. Even if she was the one overthinking, she did not want to take any risk of exposing her runaway plans.

Now Spencer was here. It couldn't be a coincidence that he would wake up at this early hour to come to the garden. While rocking her son, Isla watched out for Spencer and the knights. Thankfully, the knight that was about to come to the tree had stopped and his back was facing her spot.

''There is an intruder in the garden, sir. Please move aside so that we can do our job,'' 

Spencer had a good reputation in the hayes duchy. He was also the butler and very close to the duke. It was not a surprise that the tone of the commander of the hayes knights would be respectful to him.
