Khai scowled menacingly at Madge as she trailed behind George like a shadow. He couldn't help but feel that this raid would have been much easier without her involvement.

Even though he had managed to convince Ana not to join them this afternoon, he didn't feel his worries ease. In fact, a part of him wondered if he should have brought her instead of Madge. If the raid was easy, he could just convince her that he wouldn't need any help. He silently prayed that the rogue lair wouldn't be too perilous because he knew that Ana would insist on coming if she knew of any serious danger.

Austin walked ahead, leading the group as though they were out for a camping. George stayed close by his side, while Madge followed along behind him like a tail. Khai and Elliot walked a few steps behind, deep in discussion about their approach once they reached the elves.
