THAT 'THING'

Iris woke up early in the morning and immediately found out Cane did not sleep in the bedroom last night. Even the side of his bed was still so neat, there was no trace of him whatsoever. She had been so used to waking up next to him, it felt so strange when she found herself alone again.

Instead, it was Aliana, who greeted her.

"Don't give me that disappointed look," Aliana said, pouting her lips to feign being angry with Iris for giving her such a look. "Don't be too disappointed, the Alpha was here last night to check on you when you were sleeping…"

"Why didn't he wake me up? Why didn't he stay?" Iris cut Aliana's explanation. If Cane came over, why didn't he stay and left immediately?
