"You gave me quite a scare, my little troublemaker," Drey's cheeky words made Kira wide awake.
"That should be my line, Drey! You are the sick one, not me."
"You have slept as long, should I be scared?" Drey frowned.
"I was just a little tired, nothing big!" Her anger was raising.
"You haven't been sleeping well and eating like you always do," he was now the one frowning while she had a surprised look.
"I should have come with you that time!" She rubs her eyes trying to sit straight, but Drey still holds her hair, never letting go.
He could feel her sad voice and her tense body. He didn't know if she had come earlier when he hadn't woken up, she would have been devastated.
The poison was strong, and he didn't imagine he would survive.
He massaged her slowly, easing her tension." I'm fine now, and I'm strong," he lifts his arms showing her his muscles.
She laughs loudly, "you are the one who runs directly to the danger, why are you boosting about recovering?"
"I deserve a reward for making it alive, fighting a deadly poison was not easy." He grinned at her.
Kira arched her eyebrows. Drey laughed at her changes in expression. Such a cute little girl." I want a kiss here," he said, pointing at his cheeks.
"Shameless man!" She cursed, trying to free herself from his hands.
"I'm only shameless for you, no one else but you," he whispered in her ears as the warm breath touched the place near her ears, leaving her shivering.
"So you admit you are?"
"Yeah, my troublemaker!" He didn't wait to think about what he said.
Before she knew it, she was drawn to his embrace. Her lips went straight to his cheeks and she freezes.
Drey wore a smile when he saw her face change color. It was so red, he liked it. He pulled her up and she straddled him. To her surprise, he places a quick peck on her lips before moving away.
Her eyes widen. As her breathing becomes uncontrollable.
"That peck suffices it all, should we repeat?"
"Huh!"
"Should we, milady?"
"No! You---- what were you thinking if someone will walk in anytime," she had a shy smile on her face, looking back to the door when she saw a slight light through the opening.
"We can close the door if you feel it is appropriate that someone would try to evade the king's space."
"This is not your castle, Drey!"
"But it was assigned to me," he didn't hold down.
The idea was tempting, and what she wanted was to be embraced in his warm arms. But she can't herself with his tempting lips and handsome face. She didn't know if she would be the one to lose control.
She looked at the man who was waiting for her to shout, 'Yes! Drey, I want that too!' But her head did the opposite.
Kira shook her head, still shy, what is wrong with me? Drey lifts her and lets her lay on his chest.
"The reward was a worthy, milady," he rubbed her lips slowly as he earned a moan from her. Kira couldn't help it, and snuggled further into his chest.
He held her tightly, he couldn't imagine leaving her alone in this cruel content.
The sky has now turned dark, and the room was dark. He had knocked on the door as his knight came in with a tray of food.
He put the food on the table and lit the room, "My King, your food is ready," the knight gave him a slight bow as Drey nodded to him, and he walked out of the room.
"Should we eat milady you have grown so skin," he places her beside the bed and serves them food.
"When was the last time you ate healthy food, Kira?" This time his voice came out restricted. He only called her name when he was not happy about something.
"Aaah!"
He placed a plate filled with food." Are you trying to fatten me," she had a surprised expression?
"You were weighing much, but now after leaving you a few days you have become thin," he was blaming himself.
"Are saying I'm always fat?" She was angered and swallowed her food without chattering with him.
"Did I say something bad?" He asked, seeing her plate was empty as he had eaten all the food he placed on her plate. Seeing her face flush, his smile broadened.
"How can you say a lady is fat?" She asked, picking up the plates quickly and striding outside, cursing him loudly. He remained dumb, he just commented on her figure, was it that bad?
"Have you seen enough," he asked the man who was at the window, walking forward and entering the house.
"No?" Rico replied, looking at the stunned Drey.
"Then?"
"We should get going, we will be at the border by midnight if we leave now," Rico said, picking up Drey's coat and heading out.
Drey wore his boots and walked out, his eyes searching for the still-angered woman. He spotted her chatting with Trina and proceeded to where she was seated near the bonfire.
He kissed her on the forehead, "be to bed early. I won't be back until late," he whispered near her ears before walking away.
Kira's face flushed and buried it on her lap, the soldiers, and the king's knights didn't miss the little interaction between the king and the lady.
This was their first time seeing the king with a lady. He was always surrounded by men.
Drey walks away with a happy smile on his face.
"Done playing with the little girl?" Rico gave him the long black coat and took the horses out of the stable.
"No." Drey deadpan.
"You sure should after worrying about her, for so long," Rico said to Drey, moving to his horse.
They mounted into their horses and rode away, heading to the borders of Rivea.
