Chapter 292: Fakes

"I just noticed it, but everything in this forest is made of some type of candy," Franky commented while they walked around the place.

"Why is that surprising? Everything here is made of food. Gotta make sure that fat whale doesn't go hungry, I suppose." Vivi said.

"Vivi, stop calling her that! what if someone hears you and tells her?"

Nami shivered and rubbed her arms together.

"This forest is creeping me out. I feel like we are being observed… let's hurry up and find Zoro so we can leave this place."

As she said that, she heard some rusting of leaves and saw the figure of Zoro come walking from behind some trees.

"There you guys are." He said nonchalantly.

"Zoro!, where the hell did you go off to?" Shouted Franky.

"Come back here! this is not the time to wander around and get lost!." Nami scolded him.

"I wasn't lost, just went for a walk." Was Zoros's answer.

"Now that we are back together, we can work on finding the exit to this forest." Stated Franky.

They arrived at a bridge and they spotted someone in the distance.

"Look, Sanji is over there!" Nami pointed.

Sitting on top of one of the branches, was the figure of Sanji, looking towards them without moving.

"Sanji!, there you are. " Nami ran to the center of the bridge, and all of a sudden, the jaws of a massive creature emerged from the waters.

"Nami!, get back!." Shouted Franky.

Nami was about to move away when the jaws stopped abruptly and retreated back underwater.

A moment later, a giant crocodile came out and stared at them with a face filled with disgust.

"Oh… it's humans, ugg gross…" He grunted before walking away.

"Was that thing suggesting that we taste bad or something?" Nami wasn't sure if she should feel offended.

When they looked back at the tree branch where Sanji had been sitting, he was nowhere to be seen.

"He's gone!" Franky looked around, trying to find him.

"That wasn't Sanji…come on guys. Even if you can't sense him. There is zero chance that the real Sanji would ignore us and leave." Vivi pointed out.

"You are right…this makes no sense," Franky admitted.

They then heard a loud shriek and turned around, only to find Nami staring in shock at…Nami?.

"What the!...there are two of them?!" Exclaimed Franky.

"Who are you?!" The two Names screamed at each other.

"Guys!, I'm the real one!."

"No, don't listen to this impostor!, I'm the real one."

The two girls yelled.

"This is confusing…what do we do?" Wondered Franky.

Zoro just stared at them without muttering a single sound.

"Vivi, can't you do your thing and find out who the real one is?" Franky asked.

Vivi walked to the two Namis and these ones glanced at her in return.

"Vivi!, It its me, Nami!" The left Nami said.

"What?!, no!. In the real one. Come on, Vivi. You can tell, right?" the right Nami said.

Vivi glanced at the right Nami with cold eyes.

"Of course, I can tell which one is the fake. Why even bother with this dumb trick?"

Vivi prepared to attack.

Right Nami became nervous.

"Wait, you can't think I'm the fake one!"

Vivi's left hand moved at lightning speed and grasped the neck of left Nami before lifting her in the air.

The girl's eyes bulged up and she started to claw at her arm.

"No, I knew from the beginning…I just wanted to see if he was going to do anything," Vivi said.

"He?... never mind that, don't scare me like that again!" Nami huffed.

"Then, who is this woman?" Franky pointed at the one being chocked to death.

"Probably one of Big Mom's children. That fat ass has been popping them out like popcorn."

"Vivi!" Nami did not have more time to warn her when she saw Zoro unsheath one of his swords and slash at Vivi's back.

Vivi did not seem surprised by the turn of events. She used her free hand to grab the blade.

"Zoro!, what are you doing, have you gone mad?!" Franky shouted at him.

"This has to be a fake too!." Nami took her weapon out and smashed Zoro on the head.

This one broke into pieces of glass and crumbled down.

"Glass?" Nami was not expecting that.

The fake Nami being crushed by Vivi, also crumbled into pieces of glass.

"Mirrors…" Vivi took notice that all of the pieces were extremely reflecting, like shards of a mirror.

"Hihihi, as expected….my perfect copies cannot deceive your senses. You are much like my brother." The voice came from different points of the forest.

"Are you going to show yourself? this is quite annoying." Vivi said.

"Fighting you directly would do me no good. I have a different idea in mind." The voice sounded like it belonged to an old woman.

"I'm hearing several voices at the same time, how can she be in more than one place at once?." Nami looked at the surrounding trees, trying to find anything that stood out.

"Her aura is also in several points…I can't find the real one if there is a real one to begin with." Vivi said.

Two old hands appeared from the mirror shards on the floor, next to Vivi, and took hold of her waist.

"Got you!"

The voice said before pulling her down…and making her disappear into the mirrors.

"Vivi!" She heard Nami scream before disappearing.
