Next to her, two girls were whispering excitedly about the two bickering alpha boys.

"They are at it again."

"Ronan Silverback and Kinnon Youngshaper."

Lillian tucked a fugitive strand of hair behind her ear in an attempt to listen better.

"What is it about?" a third person joined their conversation. That was a very good question.

Lillian was burning to know. If she could wedge herself in between, she could attract the attention of both alpha boys at once.

"They are fighting for the same love interest."

"Yes, apparently Kinnon is interested in Ronan's ex and wants to know where he runs off to."

Never mind.

Lillian was not interested in playing the side character in any melodrama. She was born to be the protagonist, for goodness' sake! These boys should notice her from the get-go and worship the ground she stepped on!
