"A... very," Jack mouthed in disbelief.
Avery narrowed her eyes at Jack. Her lips curled up in a sinister smile.
"Long time no see, Jack."
Jack Matthews' knees turned weak. He had to grab the benches around him to remain in a standing position.
Cheryl kept shaking her head like a broken doll. Both of her hands were clasped against her mouth. She refused to believe it. Avery was dead. Avery was supposed to be dead...
Alain was confused.
He looked at both of his shaken parents alternately.
"Mama? Papa? Who is that? Why did she say that she's Aiden's mom? Aiden's mom is dead, right?"
Avery Thompson had to be dead.
It was because she died so quickly that Jack had an adequate excuse to bring his side lover and his illegitimate son back home.
Neither Cheryl nor Jack answered.
Alain's heart turned cold when he thought about the past.
Did his parents have something to do with Avery's death?
