The Bloodstained Affair (6)

Jenny lay motionless on the ground, blood oozing from the many cuts on her body.

Perimedes stood over her, looking down at her in disdain.

"Keep that gun away, boy, or I shall toss you off the cliff," he harshly reprimanded a vampire, who quickly tucked his gun away.

"What are we waiting for?" Hans asked in confusion. He pulled a grimace while enduring the pain from his broken legs. "Let's kill her now, before she recovers and kills every each of us!"

Perimedes narrowed his eyes at Hans.

"What are you, boy?"

Hans swallowed hard. Rage boiled in his eyes when he heard the way Aiden addressed him. He was older, for goodness sake!

But no, his instincts told him that it was not Aiden. It was someone else. Someone who wielded a lot of power and resided in Aiden's body.

"I... I am the Deputy Head of Dominion's Police Department."

Perimedes scoffed.

"What's that? Something like the leader of the King's Guard?"

Lord Marcus Caldwell answered on Hans' behalf, "Yes, that's right."
