The Skyview Hotel

The ride back to Dominion was faster than the ride to Baron Winston's castle. They arrived close before 3 AM and went to Skyview Hotel right away.

Skyview Hotel was a luxurious hotel with a hundred floors. Each floor had four suites that were separated from each other perfectly. Guests were only able to meet each other at the foyer.

The ten elevators ensured that each guest was able to go directly to and from their suite without having to stop at other floors. The suite reservation in Skyview Hotel had been abolished tens of years ago.

The reason was quite simple. All the suites were booked for at least the next ten centuries by mostly rich vampires who decided that they needed a second residence to escape their boring daily obligations.

The staff of Skyview Hotel were trained in secrecy. They would not speak about whatever happened as soon as guests entered the hotel foyer. The guests were allowed to do anything behind closed doors, but they all knew not to do anything non-consensual that led to criminal investigations.

Skyview Hotel was one of the luxurious hotels that were owned by the Caldwell family. The guests would rather be persecuted by the court than be dealt with by the Caldwells themselves. The Caldwells were not known for being merciful toward those who brought them troubles.

Baron Winston booked a suite in Skyview Hotel for the next two centuries. He himself rarely stepped foot into the Skyview Hotel and let the younger members of his family use the suite for their entertainment purpose. The suite was vacated for two nights to allow Aiden to recuperate properly before he went back to Harrow Lane.

Aiden slept throughout the night from exhaustion and blood loss. By the time he woke up, it was already 10 AM. When he opened his eyes, he was greeted by a severe headache right away.

"Uhh..."

"Good morning."

Aiden pressed the heels of his hands at his eyes.

"Good morning," he said in response to Nick's greeting.

The red-haired vampire sat at Aiden's bedside and reached out to touch Aiden's neck. The latter flinched when the cold fingers ripped the seal strip off his neck.

"Let me see... Alright."

Nick took out a jar of ointment and applied the cold paste evenly on the two holes on Aiden's neck before covering the wound with a new seal strip.

"It is healing nicely. Aiden, how are you feeling?"

"I am fine."

"That's good. It was a good night without complications. I have deposited the full payment into your bank account. Are you interested in selling more in the future?"

"Yes."

Nick beamed with a smile.

"That's great. If the dizziness has declined, why don't you change your clothes and join me and Serena for brunch?"

Aiden nodded while rubbing his aching temples. The headache was still threatening to split his head into two, but Aiden had more pressing matters at hand. He was starving like never before in his life.

Unlike the Skyview Hotel, the Skyview restaurant was open to the public. The restaurant offered a variety of foods that catered to all three races. Each section was located as far as possible from each other due to the clashing nature of the dishes.

It was Saturday morning, the start of the weekend. The dark wooden tables, rattan chairs with soft cushions, and ottomans were intimately laid in groups to cater to single guests, couples, and also groups of guests.

Interestingly, there were a few tables where mixed races sat and ate together despite the differences in taste. At one of those tables sat a beautiful woman with long auburn hair and a pale-looking young woman.

The beautiful woman only had a glass of red wine in front of her, but a grand feast was laid in front of the pale-looking young woman. Unfortunately, the latter did not seem to be able to muster the slightest appetite to eat a spoonful of anything.

"Ms. Parsons, the caramel milk pudding in Skyview is top-notch. Try a little, you will like it."

Ms. Parsons, the young woman, merely shook her head weakly.

"What about this blueberry pancake? They use the freshest blueberries from their own garden..."

Ms. Parsons looked as if she was close to vomiting.

Nick and Serena had found a cozy table in the corner. Serena immediately plopped down on a chair and sighed in delight.

"Aiden, come let's sit here. Aiden?"

Nick looked around and found Aiden standing some meters away, staring at the eerie duo with a table full of untouched foods.

"Aiden?"

Nick tapped on Aiden's back. The beautiful woman at the table stopped coaxing Ms. Parsons and looked up.

"Nikola...?" she called in surprise. Two sharp fangs were exposed when she broke into a smile.

Nick was equally surprised to see the beautiful woman.

"Hey, Angela... What a coincidence."
