After they returned from their mission that day and completely ended the root of misery for two lifetimes, Spade returned to his duty while Arren mostly focused on healing psychologically. 

In the past two months, although they still slept on the same bed and occasionally engaged in some sweet moments like kissing passionately, it almost never escalated to something deeper. 

It wasn't mainly that both of them weren't in the mood; Arren could feel their emotions becoming more restless and hungry for something. It was as if, after the imminent threat was eliminated, the pent-up desires they harbored finally exploded. 

And so, the two were only waiting for the opportunity—not exactly the right moment per se, but a special moment when both of them couldn't handle it anymore. 

It seemed... That time was now. 

It didn't need to be right or particularly romantic.
