Unfavorable Situation (Part 2)

Hearing Wang Mang's indignant question. The old local deity, who was about to attack, was stunned. Was this snake lying or not?

He could clearly sense a threat, and the source of that threat was Wang Mang. This was why he had attacked Wang Mang without hesitation.

His senses had never been wrong, though. 

The old local deity's expression relaxed and he smiled.

"I see."

"Fellow Daoist, I'm sorry for offending you!"

"Just now, I felt that you were hostile toward me. Therefore, I decided to test the waters."

Hearing the old local deity's words, Wang Mang was furious.

That was a test?

If he had been careless earlier, he would have suffered heavy injuries. Of course, Wang Mang did not show his anger. The situation was not favorable.

"Fellow Daoist, you have wronged me!"

"How would I dare to be hostile to you?"

The local god chuckled.

"However, since Fellow Daoist is here…"
