Chapter 42: Navy Blue

My concept of time was flunking, the clock on the wall almost seemed to melt under my gaze. And eight o’clock was getting closer and closer.

I stood in front of my wardrobe. The black mini dress looked the safest, but instead, the white satin caught my eye and I couldn’t resist choosing it.

I didn’t even want to touch my hair or do makeup when my friends and Max were suffering, mentally. Maybe even physically.
