First Quest

Two hours after the target practice, a figure could be seen in the Adventurer Guild. Naturally, it was Terroriser, today he and Nogla came to take their first quest.

Yesterday, there were only a few requests passed on the Adventurers Guild board when Brian checked and saw there were only a few people in here, but now the number of people in the building is now much greater. Although it was busy, it wasn't too crowded.

He then saw a considerable number of people who were standing in front of the board, eagerly receiving quests for their rank. It was a little unexpected, that the Adventurers Guild was busiest in the morning.

However, it's natural if when he thought about it, quests received in the morning are carried out during the day, they returned in the evening and the reward was received. This was because the city is the best place to live in.

Terroriser heard there are people who specialize in receiving night quests, though they are a minority, though.

Brian advanced towards the request board, he looked at the G, F and E Rank quests:

The contents of the requests entered Brian's eyes, G-rank quests are:

======================================

•[Deliver the Meat of a Horned Rabbit]

•[Collect Medicinal Herbs to Make Potions].

•[Gathering Materials for Anesthetics in Case of Serious Injuries].

======================================

The rest were all similar quests. Hornet rabbit, like the name suggests, a rabbit with a horn on its forehead. Personally, Terroriser has never seen one, but he bet they are bigger than Earth's rabbit.

Next, he moved to the F-rank board to look at the requests.

======================================

•[Goblin Subjugation]

•[Delivery of 20 Slime Magic Cores]

•[Poison Toad Subjugation]

======================================

Most of the quests were monster subjugation quests for weak monsters or delivery quests.

"Well, at least they've got some over here. Talking about fantasies, goblins are a must." Terroriser mumbled, remembering the fantasy stories he often watched on anime or read in novels back on Earth.

Terroriser started to read the goblin subjugation request. Goblins subjugation quest is a regularly requested quest, the proof of subjugation is the right ear of the Goblins.

The minimum subjugation number was 5 ears. The written exchange rate is 30 Euros coin for 1 ear. Even if it was a quest for low-ranking adventurers, the reward was cheap. Terroriser unintentionally knitted his unnatural eyebrows, 5 ears were equal to 150 Euros Coins.

Staying at the [Eclipse] Inn cost 300 Euros a night, this was because it was a high-quality inn in this city. As for beginners who just registered with the guild, they usually stay in cheap inns that cost 5 Euros a night, because of this, it was common for people to form parties with others in similar situations.

Terroriser tore off the paper for the goblin subjugation request and brought it to one of the Guild Receptionist, or the same one as yesterday.

Some of the surrounding adventurers watched with a surprised expression. That understandable, because normally for his first quest Brian should take the G-rank quest, a quest like hunting a Hornet rabbit for its meat, however, he chose a goblin subjugation quest. Well, goblins are weak monsters, they are mob monsters. They may be weak but to weaker G-rank Adventurers are too much to handle, it was what they were thinking.

Personally, Terroriser chose this quest for the simple reason that he loves what it feels to do stuff he dreams of, and also individually goblins are weak, just one are only <G–> rank Monsters(Lv.5), however, they can be very dangerous if in a group. While weak, just Five, Six, or more of them could easily overwhelm one <G+> rank adventurer. If people were careful enough not to fight with them in a large group, they would be fine.

That is why the quest Terroriser got is <F–> rank because Goblin subjugation quests don't usually face one goblin as these green skins are always run in packs like bloodthirsty wolves.

Suddenly, Terroriser has flashbacks in the past. Back when he was still at his friend's minecraft home, if not for Delirious' Artillery Cannon, then they might get easily overwhelmed by a whole army of 500 Goblins.

Well, speaking about them, during his stay in this city, Terroriser had read some information on a few monsters. Goblin was among them.

『Goblin』Is said to be a race of monsters with the stature of a human child. They have green skin, an angular forehead, and short fingers. Weak as an individual, they can easily be defeated by a human with the strength of an athlete accustomed to fights.

However, they have the habit of gathering together and like to act in groups.

In addition, while they have primitive intelligence, they can arm themselves with weapons they pick up or steal. While passing the quest paper to the Receptionist, Terroriser thought back to that famous anime on earth called Doomslaye—, wait no that's the Mr. Angry Guy that kills Demons with a Shotgun, he meant to say Goblin Sla— *Cough!* *Cough!* *Cough!* Fuck! I think the author here has some coughing issues, I gotta get some biogesic, I'll be right back for a moment...

Right, I'm back, as I was saying, Goblins are really ruthless creatures. Even though Terroriser is dozens of levels above these little rascals, he still needed to be cautious when dealing with them.

"You chose the goblin subjugation quest. Normally, I wouldn't recommend that because this is actually your first quest, but I think I'll allow it, given you have some battle experience before and a higher rank. Still, please be careful not to let your guard down," The Guild Receptionist warned him.

"Don't worry, I will be careful. Where is the goblin's location?" The Irish douche asked.

"Well, about that, they seem to appear frequently near the forest along the highway to Finire City. Recently, they have attacked merchants and travelers who were coming to this city in groups." She explained.

The forest she was talking about is one located at the eastside of the city.

"Do the goblins there have any intelligence?" Terroriser asked suddenly.

"No, but there is indeed a rare species of goblins somewhere in these lands, and you must be careful when encountering them, they are pretty strong, stronger than a Giant and a normal Hobgoblin." The Receptionist once again explained.

Rare species Goblins are individuals who were born with some kind of mutation. In the case of rare species, they boast a higher intelligence than the normal monster and are one rank higher than the monster information published by the guild.

In other words, because the goblin's rank is <G–>, a rare species of goblin would be the equivalent of a <E–> rank monster, equivalent to a pinnacle Rank 3(Lv.30) Individual in terms of strength.

Having accepted the quest accepted by the receptionist, the Harpy Girl, Terroriser turned around and was about to exit out of the guild.

However, he halted his steps as he almost forgot something, or someone. He looked around for a moment before his eyes were set on a sleepy person on the other side of the building.

And that person is Nogla.

"Oh, for fuck sake, I told him not to drink too much..." Terroriser mumbled, pinching his nostril in annoyance.

Heading towards the bar of the building, Terroriser says to the bartender, "Oy man, give me one drink..."

"Uh, isn't it a bit early to get a drink?" The Bartender asked.

"Do I look like I gave a shit, give me a bloody drink, will ya?"

"Okay, okay, chill..."

Giving a huge cup of beer to Brian, he nodded and headed towards Nogla's direction, and without hesitation, he spilled a huge liquid of alcohol on him, startling the boi.

"Huh?! What happened!? Is the President Black again?!!"

Confused, Nogla tries to recall what he remembers until his eyes set on the person in front of him.

"Brian?"

"Wake the fuck up, samurai! We got goblins to burn!" Brian declared.

*Chi chi!

Taking his sunglasses off, Terroriser bought out his Combat Shotgun and cocks it, fully ready on a quest.

"...What?"

Still confused, Nogla still doesn't understand what is happening, he just woke up seconds ago for goodness sake.

*Spash!*

Receiving another alcohol splashing his face from Brian who just took a drink from a random Adventurer without a care.

"Stand up, you big fucking oath! Let's start leveling up!" Terroriser declared once more in a louder tone, ready for their first quest in excitement.
