Chapter 16: Arriving at Orario

[Third POV]

Orario

A huge prosperous and bountiful city full of adventurers of all races. Races such as humans, elves, dwarfs, renards, amazoness and so much more. Each and every one of these adventurers follows a god or goddess, and this city has plenty of them scattered all over the city. These gods and goddesses form a group called Familia to gather these adventurers and give them their blessings in the form of Falna. The Falna was used by the familia members to challenge the dungeon. Why dungueon you ask? Well, the answer is in the name of the city, Orario is also known as the Labyrinth City Orario, in which the city has a system of underground tunnels called dungeon. In the dungeon, many monsters of all sorts of shape and size were crawling and lurking in every floor of it.

However, we are not going to focus in the dungeon today. For now, the city has a lot of groups of new arrivals lined up in front of the entrance gate. One of these groups was a group that came from the continent of Far East.

The group is consisting of young teenagers with oriental features and clothing. They wear traveling robes and equipment while carrying a bunch of their belongings in the cart. The group is accompanied by a god of the same feature and has a kind expression in his face.

However, amongst the group lies a woman with a peculiar and extraordinary appearance. The woman has a pink long hair, purple eyes and fair skin tone. She wears a shrine maiden outfit that exudes a beautiful and elegant appearance to the person. Lastly, the feature that shows the peculiar feeling to the person, no, it is not because of her droopy fox ears, but rather the number of fluffy tails she had. The woman has nine large and fluffy renard tails. The tails were arranged in a fan shape behind woman giving her a divine look.

When the people of Orario show the woman in the group, they were mesmerized by her beautiful appearance, especially the men. However, the woman looks unfazed and calm while being stared by passerby citizen in the street. She wears a stoic and calm expression in her face which made the people think that she hasn't experienced any fatigue and exhaustion in their travel.

The people looking at the woman and wonders...

What is going on inside her head?

[Miko's POV]

THANK GOODNESS!! FINALLY!! WE ARRIVED AT LAST!

After almost two whole goddamn years of travel and FINALLY we made it to Orario. Dear god (Takemikazuchi), that was a very long trip. I mean really, I am not exaggerating of how much distance and time we had travel ever since we left the Far East. We spent two months crossing the sea and a huge river to get to the city of Altenia. We spend three months of recuperation and restocking supplies in there. Then we continued traveling across two forests, in which were to camp and defend ourselves in the woods for another four months straight. In the end of the forests, we reached another city and we again recuperate and resupplied for another three months. The worst part of the journey was traveling across a long and wide area between the mountain range and the desert for almost a year. The reason being is that the weather condition and terrains slowed us down that we had to take shelter with tents and recover from fatigue.

When we finally saw the city of Orario from the distance, I made a huge sigh of relief and cried a bit due to over exhaustion. We camped one final time and I decided to dress for the occasion. I wore a modified shrine maiden robe that I personally made during the travel and put my accessories as well. I hid all of my stress and exhaustion on the back of my mind and I made a stoic and calm face so that people won't notice I am tired.

When we arrived at the entrance of the city, I saw a line of caravans and people lined up on the road. We waited for hours in the line until we finally got inside the city. I looked around and can't helped but be amazed. The buildings were unlike in the cities we visited before and there is a huge and tall tower on the middle of the city.

Then suddenly the people on the road started to stare at my appearance. Most of them were mesmerized and others are jealous and envious. I don't know why and just pretend to be unfazed and didn't anything.

"Takemikazuchi-sama, where are we staying in the city?" I asked our god who is in front of the group

"Ah, we first ask the guild if there is a vacant place for us to stay in the city"

"I understood, kami-sama"

We all went to the guild and ask for a vacant spot for a base. Takemikazuchi-sama asked me to accompany him inside the guild while the others stayed outside.

Upon entering the guild, all eyes of the people within the guild were staring at me.

"Augh, this again"

"Now now, Miko. You must be kind to the people here to leave a first impression"

" I understood, kami-sama. But the stares of some these people were... the same as him" I said while remembering the face of Amogu and his perverted expression and grimacing at it.

"It's true that there are a lot of people here are perverse and malicious, but you don't have to worry" Takemikazuchi-sama place a hand on my shoulder and I looked at him

"You have a familia now and we will protect you and each other" I nodded in understanding as we walk to the counter.

We approached one of the receptionists and the one we approached is brown haired elf. She currently organizing a bunch of documents right now.

"Excuse ma'am, we would like to ask you something" Takemikazuchi-sama calls the elf receptionist for assistance.

The receptionist notices us and looks at our appearance. Then she gazes at me looking mesmerized at my looks.

"...beautiful..." She murmurs quietly, but I heard it clearly.

"Pardon me?"

"Ah, I'm sorry. I was just spacing out, that's all" The elf became flustered because of the blunder.

"Right... anyway, my name is Takemikazuchi, a god from the Far East. We would like to ask if there is a vacant spot to stay in this city, we want a place to use as a base for my Familia" Takemikazuchi-sama

"Ah, I see. Nice to meet you Takemikazuchi-san, my name is Eina Tulle. As for your request, I will be right back to check for a vacant lot in the city" Eina-san walks away from the counter and searched from the selves to search some documents.

While we were waiting, I take a walk and look around the guild. I see a lot of adventurers that come in and goes from the guild.

After looking around and I decide to go back to Takemikzuchi-sama, but I bumped into someone big when I turned around.

"Oof" I fell on my butt after I got bump into someone. I looked up and saw the person I bumped into.

The person in question was a tall werewolf with grey hair and a tattoo on his left cheek. He wears a furry grey jacket, black pants and white arm bracers and leg protectors. He looks at me with disdain and irritation.

"Watch where you going, pipsqueak"

'Ah, this feels familiar'

"Apologies, I didn't saw where I was going"

"Tsk, you weaklings should know your place!"

"Hey Bete, stop bullying people again"

A female elf then followed behind the werefolf. The elf has green long hair and pointy ears. She wears a green robe and white cloak. She reprimanded the werewolf who is talking trash at me.

"Tsk, whatever old witch. Leave me out of this weakling pipsqueak" the werewolf sneers as he walks away and exited the guild. The elf then offered a hand to stand up. I accepted the hand I pull myself up and stand again.

"Apologize for my familia member's terrible behavior, my name is Riveria by the way" The elf introduced herself to me after apologizing

"Ah, It's okay, I'm fine. My name is Yae Miko, nice to meet you Rivera-san" I introduced myself to Rivera-san and she nodded. But then she scrutinized my appearance.

"Hmm, you seem to look interesting, are you new here in Orario?" Rivera-san inquires

"Ah, yes. I came from the Far East. Me and my companions just entered the city earlier and we're asking the guild for a place to stay in the city"

"I see. I welcome you in Orario"

"Thank you very much" Rivera nodded at me.

"See you later then, Miko-san. Come on, Ais" Rivera-san says her farewell and calls for someone else.

Another woman appeared behind me. I turned around and look at her appearance. She has blond hair and wears a white dress and a set of light armor. She has a stoic and calm expression that shows no emotions. She walks pass me and followed Rivera-san. As she was walking, she took a glance at me and leaves the guild.

'That woman is weird. Oh well, no matter'

I then returned to Takemikazuchi-sama side. He is currently finished talking to Eina-san who came back with the documents needed. She said that there is a vacant old housing complex on the northeast of the city. We asked her to pinpoint its location in the map and points at the location. We nodded and paid the fee for the vacant housing. We got the keys for the house and we thanked Eina-san. She welcomes us and we exited the guild to meet with other from the outside.

[Third POV]

Meanwhile in the Twilight Minor, a huge castle of a certain goddess living here

Bete, Rivera and Ais had returned from the guild and was greeted by their goddess.

"Yo, welcome back guys. How is your time in the guild?" The god asked her three familia member who just returned.

"Tsk, very crappy. We bumped into some weak pipsqueak in the guild" Bete sneered in disdain

"Oho? who is this person you bump into"

"Her name is Yae Miko, Loki-sama. She is new in Orario and she is quite a peculiar person"

"Peculiar you say? How so"

"She is a small renard with pink hair and has nine fluffy tails behind her"

"Tsk, that pipsqueak think she is pretty, but she is weakling nonetheless"

"Oho~? Bete, didn't you just call her pretty, didn't you?" Loki smugly teased Bete

"WHAT ARE YOU SAYING? URGH! I'm out of here!" Bete grumpily climbs the stairs, leaving the three people downstairs.

"So, Ais, how about you? What do you think about the renard girl?" Loki then asked Ais who is standing beside Rivera.

"She is... quite cute. I like her fluffy tails. I want to pet them" Ais says with a small smile

"Umu, Rivera. Does the girl haven't joined a familia yet?" Loki inquires wanting to take the girl.

"I'm afraid she already might have a familia. She said she come to Orario with companions and one of the companions looks like a god" Loki nodded in understanding

"Where is she from? What nation she used to live in"

"She said she was from the Far East"

"Far East, huh? This is quite interesting"

After inquiring for information about Miko, the three people climb to the second floor and towards their living quarter.

'Yae Miko, huh. I must see this person sometime' Loki muttered to herself as she leads the two to her rom.
