Mauve sat in the hall trying to draw as little attention as she could to herself. The hall was pretty quiet, she wondered if the upcoming meeting had anything to do with it.

She slowly raised her head from her meal as she looked around. The Lords were engrossed. There were whispers going all around but none were loud enough to hear.

She brought her gaze down, she didn't want to make eye contact with anyone and then have to deal with the awkward moment when she would have to look away.

She glanced towards the feet of Seraphino where Vae sat on the floor. She grimaced as she stared hard, urging Vae to look at her but Vae didn't budge.

Tired, she looked away from Vae to Jael. He gave a little smile and Mauve realized she didn't have the energy to smile back.
