Moves

Weimin looks over the report with a nod and says, "Good, we will attack at midday when the sun is at its highest. Bolin has the ability to manipulate the shadows so we will eliminate as many of them as possible."

The guards nod in agreement and turn to leave the tent. The Deity from the South frowns and asks, "He can manipulate the shadows?" Weimin turns to him and nods before saying, "That's correct. He's a monster who's been masquerading as a Cultivator."

The Deity from the south frowns even more as he mumbles, "I've never heard of someone controlling the shadows... that's... odd." The Deity from the west says, "That's why he's a monster. We need to get rid of him before it's too late."

The Deity from the south slowly nods his head as he seems deep in thought. He taps his chin before turning to Weimin and asking, "Have you heard from the Deity from the north? It would be imperative for him to be here for this. He is the strongest out of all of us."

Weimin grits his teeth in annoyance as he says, "I've sent word, but he doesn't seem to be in the north. That or he's refusing to lend his help." The Deity from the west sighs as he says, "Maybe we should wait until we hear back from him before proceeding. This isn't a light matter."

Weimin struggles to control his temper as he calmly says, "Unfortunately, we don't have that kind of time. Every second Bolin is left alive, he grows stronger and stronger. If we wait any longer, we may lose the King and the Kingdom. We need to move as soon as possible."

The two Deities glance at each other in silent contemplation before turning back to Weimin and saying, "Fine, let's hit them hard and fast. We shouldn't give them the chance to prepare. We have the element of surprise; we should use it to our advantage."

Weimin nods and says, "I'm thinking the same thing. I currently have several scouts, scouting out the estate but it seems pretty empty from what they've seen." The Deity from the south suddenly speaks up and says, "I've heard talks of dragons... do they really have such creatures?"

Weimin wants to strangle the man, but he calmly says, "They were indeed present at the Palace but haven't been seen since then. I think it's safe to say that they are no longer with them. They may have flown off into hiding. It's best to strike while they're still away."

The two Deities share a look again, but this time Weimin feels his calm cracking. These two idiots need to stop questioning him so much and just do as he says! It's not that hard! The two look back at him and say, "Okay, we're trusting you and your sources."

Weimin struggles to smile at them as he bows and turns away. His face instantly changes into one of hate and rage. Soon he won't have to deal with these idiots! The sooner, the better.

LYRA

I slowly tap my finger on the table deep in thought. When Mago comes back he reports, "I think they're going to attack tomorrow or tomorrow night. They're getting battle ready." I narrow my eyes in thought before saying, "He will attack during the day when Bolin's shadow power is the weakest. It looks like we'll be busy tonight, Mago."

Haun looks up with confusion before asking, "What do you mean? What are you trying to do?" I give him a small knowing smile as I say, "I need to take care of a few things tonight, but I need you to stay here."

Haun slams his hand down on the table and yells out, "Absolutely not! If you leave the estate, I'm coming with you." I sigh and shake my head as I say, "One, someone needs to remain here to keep an eye on things and to make sure no one slips in. Two, I can't move around freely with you tagging along. I need to go alone."

He opens his mouth to argue but I lift my hand to stop him and say, "You can either choose to work with me or I will knock you out and take care of everything without you. Your choice." Haun glares at me and says, "That's crossing the line! You wouldn't dare!"

I give him a dry look as I say, "Try me." We stare at each other for a solid minute before he curses under his breath and says, "Fine but I'll be reporting this to Master Bolin." I give him a knowing smile as I lift my small empty plate used under the cup of tea.

He looks at the plate with a frown before looking back at me. Before he can ask what I'm doing, I use my magic and change the plate. His eyes widen in shock as golden magic warps the plate, changing it into a small mirror right before his eyes.

I toss it at him and watch as he struggles to catch it without dropping it. Once he has it, he looks it over with wonder before snapping at me, "What the hell!?" I stand up, slowly stretching as I say, "If you need to get in touch with me, call for Mago in that. The same goes for me, if I need to get in touch with you, I will use the mirror."

He looks at me in shock and disbelief as I continue, "That way we'll still be able to check up on each other and you'll know I'm not in trouble. It's a win, win. Right?" He blinks, looking at me in utter shock. He's struggling to believe my words, but he can't deny them either.

He grips the mirror in the palm of his hand with a look of determination on his face as he says, "Fine but if something happens you have to let me know immediately." I give him a winning smile as I say, "Of course, the same goes for you."

He glares at me but when I tap into the ley lines, my eyes turn golden. He blinks in shock, taking a small step back as I say, "Stay safe, Huan. I'll be back soon." He looks perplexed... as if those words were supposed to somehow be his lines but I don't give him a chance to retort.

I turn and walk away, heading for the side of the estate. They'll be watching the entire estate, but it will be worse at the front and back. As soon as I reach the outer wall, I place my hand on the cold wall with a wicked smile.

"Time for payback..." I whisper as the desire for blood grows within me.

My body slips through the wall without a sound, blending into the night effortlessly.
