9: Failure

"Y/N, STOP!" Ladybug yelled as she chased after you. You let out a scoff and rolled your eyes.

"Nah~!" You laughed, narrowly avoiding her yo-yo that she had flung at you. Chat Noir used his baton to sling himself a distance away and appear before you, but you simply ran to the left and jumped off the building and onto the next. They both continued to follow. You were seeing from one of your whisp's point of view. You could see and control your own body, as well as the other whisps, which were attacking the two heroes. Your control was better, but still no luck with flying...

"Please, Y/N!" Chat Noir yelled as he jumped up, doing a backflip as he landed. Show off...

"Don't you get it? No matter how much you beg, I'm not stopping! Seriously, since when has saying 'please' to an Akuma ever worked?!" You yelled back in frustration, jumping to another building. They both followed. You saw some people in the corner of your vision. You let out a smirk as two of your whisps glided toward them, the rest still battling the heroes chasing you. The two heroes noticed, letting out a cry in distress, then jumped off the building and attacked the astray whisps with their weapon, leaving you on the rooftop alone. The two girls ran away as the heroes fought.

You sent the rest of your whisps to go fight the heroes with a swipe of your hand. The whisps circled and dived at the heroes as they dodged. Any whisp that was destroyed by their weapons was quickly replaced. They continued to swing and throw their weapons to protect themselves, doing acrobatics to get out the way. Ladybug stared at you inventively, before her eyes widened as if she'd realized something important. Your eyes widened the same, but in confusion. What was with the sudden expression? Did she know something? She smirked, before yelling,

"Lucky charm!" She shouted, throwing her yo-yo up into the air as light radiated off her. A hook dropped down. "A hook... What do I do with this?"

"Ah; a hook. Useless. She always finds some creative way to use it, though, so I better leave..." You mumbled to yourself. You still weren't powerful enough... As Ladybug darted her eyes around, you slowly walked backward, then ran off.

"Chat Noir; don't let her get away!" Ladybug yelled. Chat Noir suddenly appeared in front of you. You jumped off to the ground, floating so you wouldn't get hurt. You ran off into an alley. Just when you were about to exit to the other side, large rocks and other rubble came crashing down, most likely from the hero's cataclysm. It blocked either side of your exit. You gritted your teeth in frustration. You were about to float up, before Ladybug made a web with her yo-yo above you. You huffed.

"Aww, come on, Ladybug. I'm not your pet, you know. Do you really have to cage me?" You smirked, crossing your arms. The area you were trapped in was long, but narrow and short. Ladybug jumped down before her yoyo fully covered the area, Chat Noir following closely behind. You grit your teeth, eyes occasionally darting around, looking for an exit.

"Please, Y/N. Just give us your akuma and we'll get this over with." Chat noir spoke, holding out his palm and relaxing his stance. You gulped, glancing to the side nervously to make yourself appear as if you were rethinking the idea of being akumatized. It was obviously fake; why would you ever give something up as cool as this?!

"I... No, I can't..." You muttered, your head shrinking down into your shoulders as your eyebrows furrowed. You lied, "H-Hawkmoth promised he'd be my friend... He's the only friend I've got... I let him down."

"Y/N, he's a villain. He's only trying to use you. We can be your friends. Your classmates can be your friends. We're here for you." Ladybug smiled, holding out her arms as she walked toward you. You gulped, but let out a smile, your eyes watering up slightly. Wow, you were good.

"I-I usually don't like cheesy stuff, but.." You stuttered, wiping at your eyes. Ladybug suddenly bought you into a hug. Disgusting... You let out a satisfied sigh and wrapped your arms around her shoulders, then quickly aiming for her miraculous. You were about to take them in one swift movement before something flung you backward. Chat Noir had extended his stick into your stomach, crushing you against the wall.

"Oof..." You groaned as you collided with the rubble behind you. You glared at the two venomously. "You're so annoying, you know that? I hate hugs. They're trash. I haven't had one in years, and I had to waste my first hug in years on ."

"Y-You haven't had a hug...?" Chat Noir spoke, walking up behind Ladybug, his baton back to normal.

"What do you expect from a person with no friends?" You huffed, glancing to the side and bringing your knees up to your chest. Your whisps were here. They weaved their way through Ladybug's yo-yo, careful not to make a sound. They slowly creeped up behind the duo, making sure not to make zooming sounds as they flew.

"It's okay; Y/-" Ladybug spoke, before quickly being cut off by Chat Noir spinning her around. He started to fight against the whisps which circled him frantically. Ah; he must have seen them from the reflection in his baton... Ladybug pulled her yo-yo down to help Chat Noir. Yes; you could escape! You flew up, before Chat Noir's baton appeared above you, making you hit your head against it. You ignored the pain and dodged it, before you felt Ladybug's yo-yo wrapped around your ankle.

She pulled you down a little, before throwing her yo-yo once again around your arm. The hook was attached. She pulled the yo-yo down, the hook grabbing onto your plaster and pulling it along. You gasped as she took the paper from the plaster and ripped it.

A purple Akuma flew out.

You failed...

The rest was a blur.
