5: Forsaken

*-*-*

"Y/N! Glad you could make it!" Alya smiled. You blinked confusedly, eyes wide. Alya was welcoming you into school. In her pajamas.

"Y-Yeah..." You gulped. Ah, you just realized how weird this was going to be... Sleeping at school?? Seriously?? Why did the teachers even trust you all?!

"Come on, we're going to sleep in the classrooms!" Rose smiled from behind her. You shrugged. You were sort of late and everyone was already here.

"Okay." You sighed. People were already in pajamas. It was a warm night, so people were in the middle area, which was roofless. There were a few teachers around.

"Oh, Y/N. You can go to the locker rooms and change your clothes, if you like." Adrien smiled. He was talking to Nino and Marinette (Marinette wasn't really talking, but instead staring at him with wide-eyes and a blush...). He was the first to notice Alya leading you over to the group.

"Uh, yeah, sure." You shrugged. Everyone had pajamas! Heck, Rose and Juleka even had matching onesies... You, however, got an old thin top and sweatpants. You should have thought this out... Oh well. No one would mind. You changed pretty quickly, then went back out. Ah, it felt weird being in school in your pajamas...

You walked back out. No one paid too much attention to you, as always... You decided to go on your phone. Sadly, there was no internet, and you used up all your data, so you just played an idle game. You sat on the stairs, ignoring everyone's conversations. You simply continued to play.

Soon, the girls all started walking your way. They didn't even spare a glance, walking straight up the stairs. You looked up at them, speaking, "Where are you guys going?"

They all froze and quickly looked down at you, surprised. You kept your smile on your face, but you knew they didn't even see you. Did you really have such low presence...? Alya coughed.

"Ahh, Y/N! Want to come and play truth or dare with us? Girls only!" Alya smiled brightly. You shrugged.

"Sure, why not?" You spoke, a small smile gracing your face. They all smiled happily and walked up the stairs, you doing the same. You went into your classroom and sat on the desks and chairs. Your substitute teacher was at her desk, her legs up on the table. She was messing around on her phone. She glanced up, huffed, and went back to doing whatever on her phone. That probably meant she didn't care. You all sat around in the class, on the desks and chairs, some people standing up, as you wanted to be close together for the game.

"Uh, we don't have any way of randomly choosing..." Juleka pointed out. Everyone hesitated. Ah, no one thought of that...

"Well, I can use my phone! I've got a random picker thing on her somewhere..." Alya smiled, searching through her phone. You all waited, before she smiled and raised her phone into the air, "Here!"

She showed you all a simple app with a bunch of squares where you could fill in random objects or names, and a button underneath which said, 'Randomly Choose!'. It looked convenient.

"Let me just set it up so we get two people chosen..." She spoke, tapping a few things and typing some names before she smiled victoriously. "There, alright, let's have our truth or dare party!"

"Yeah!" Everyone else shouted in unison, you not included. How did they sync like that?? What, was this rehearsed?

Alya pressed the randomly choose button. Marinette had to ask/dare Juleka.

"Juleka, truth or dare?" Alya asked enthusiastically.

"Uh... Truth...?" She mumbled, tilting her head slightly.

"Oh, okay. Hmm...." Marinette hummed in thought, bringing a finger to her lip. She turned back to Juleka. "I'll go for an obvious question; Do you have a crush?"

"No..." Juleka spoke. Marinette nodded, while you heard a few girls sigh, sad they were unable to get some gossip.

"Alright, onto the next one!" Alya smiled, pressing the button once more. Rose had to ask/dare her. Alya chose dare.

"Hmmm... Create a rap about Nino!" Rose smiled, clasping her hands together.

"Huh...?" Everyone muttered. That was unexpected. "A rap??"

"I wanted to say a love song, but I decided to change it up a little! It still has to be about love~" Rose smiled. Ah, yeah, there's the Rose you knew.

"O-Okay... Uh..." Alya stuttered, slightly apprehensive. She was still slightly shocked. "N-Nino is great... We met like fate..?"

A slight giggle emerged from your lips. Others repeated your action. This reassured Alya, reminding her that this was only a fun game. She still struggled nevertheless.

"He's got Dj skills... To, uh, pay the bills!" Alya exclaimed, slightly awkwardly. Everyone laughed. "And he's really nice, so is his... uhm... rice..???"

Everyone burst out into laughter at her unsure tone and questioning expression. Alya joined in the laughter.

"Oh come on, guys, I did alright!! Let's see any of you make up a rap on the spot!" Alya giggled. You eventually calmed down, though the happy atmosphere was still surrounding you, and went onto the next truth or dare.

The game went smoothly, with some funny things and strange things happening, even if the game didn't last long. You hadn't been chosen all the game, surprisingly. You all walked back into the courtyard, finished with your game.

"I wasn't chosen for that whole thing..." You sighed to yourself with a slight laugh. Alya heard you and replied.

"Oh? You weren't? Let's see..." She went back onto her phone and pressed the random choose button, but each time, you never showed up. She tilted her head in confusion. "That's strange..."

She went on to check a few other things. You leaned over her shoulder, looking at her screen.

"Ohhh, uhm... I forgot to put you in the list, haha..." She laughed, scratching the back of her neck sheepishly. "Sorry, Y/N..."

"Ah, it's fine..." You sighed. Did she you...? Well, it was fine. You didn't mind. It happened all the time anyway. You shrugged, "I enjoyed watching the rest of you play."

"Aww, don't worry, girl, we'll include you next time!" Alya smiled brightly. You nodded, returning her smile. Though, you didn't believe her...

"Alright, yeah." You smiled back. You all started to split up as soon as you entered the courtyard into various groups. Once again, you didn't have a group to be in. You let out a sigh, then laughed to yourself. You didn't understand why you came to these things before. What, were you hoping to get friends or something? No one really remembered you anyway. Why should you even care...?

You decided to go to the art room, since you felt like taking your mind off things. Art was a fun way to do that. You were about to walk in the room, but the door was already open, and Nathaniel and Marc were inside, discussing a comic or something. They were too absorbed in their conversation to notice you. You let out a sigh and left. You didn't want to disturb them. Both boys were very awkward around you, so it wouldn't do any good to walk in on their enthusiastic conversation. You'd only be a bother.

And so, you wandered to your next place of solitude; the library. You entered the library to see Kim and Max messing around. There was a TV in the library with games on it, for some reason... The two were playing. You snuck by, not wanting to interrupt. You went to your favorite secluded area and read a book that you had been reading for the past few days. You didn't borrow it since, for whatever reason, the librarian wouldn't let you, but you did leave it behind the rest of the books so no one else would move it. It was a good book.
