Marc x Superhero! Reader pt.2

(A/n)- This is from a one shot from a while ago. I suggest you read the first part before continuing. And there's some talk about self worth in this. So if that bothers you this please don't read. Thanks for reading!

You furrowed your brows at the female before you. Volpina smirked. "What?"

"I want you out of Paris. And never come back." You blinked. "Why?"

The villainess chuckled. "Because you know too much. Hawkmoth wants to be sure that his secrets aren't leaked out." You cocked your head to the side.

You were so confused. "I'm sorry, but I haven't got a clue as to what you're talking about." You watched as Volpina paced back and forth.

"Sure, you do. Hawkmoth said you knew his secrets, and that you posed as a threat. I just want you away from my Marc-i-poo." You sent her a quick glare. She only smirked.

You didn't have a clue as to what she was talking about. Hawkmoth's secrets? You didn't know anything about Hawkmoth's secrets.

You knew you had to get out of here. Fast. You scanned the room for anything you could use as a weapon.

You only saw the chain that bound you to the wall. If you could just position it to where she'd trip over it... And got it!

You were able to scoot it over without Volpina noticing. "And if I refuse?" you asked as she turned back around. Volpina sighed.

"I guess I'll have to-Ah!" She tripped over the chain, giving you access to the key that was attached to her belt. You unlocked your chains and made a run for it.

If you weren't mistaken, she had Marc here somewhere too. But you had to hurry. You rushed to the first door and thrust it open.

Marc sat there in the corner. He looked up at you and his eyes widened. You rushed to his aid.

"Marc! Are you alright?!" The ravenette nodded his head as you got him to his feet and rushed him to the door. Volpina was standing in your way. You had to think, fast!

"Ladybug, no!"

You snuck by as Volpina fell for your distraction. You ran with Marc through a different door and found yourselves in a long hallway. You ran until you could see the door leading to the exit.

"Come on, Marc! We're almost there!" Volpina was chasing after you. You threw the door open and found yourselves in the main entrance of the building you were being held in.

Volpina reached out and nearly grabbed your arm. You acted quickly and kicked her down. You and Marc ran.

The sun was out. You looked over to Marc who was panting from the adventure. "Are you ok? She didn't get you, did she?"

Marc drew a deep breath. "No, she didn't. I-I'm fine. But you don't look so good." You scanned over yourself and saw that your clothes were riddled with dirt and such.

"I-I'll be fine. But we gotta get out of here. Come on." You took Marc's hand and led him down the street. You turned onto a different path hoping to lose Volpina. You looked back yo see you had lost her.

"(Y-Y/n), wait." Marc tugged on your hand to signal you to stop. You looked back at him.

"W-why did you risk your identity to protect me? You could've been exposed!" His eyed held concern and his cheeks were dusted with pink. You racked your head for an appropriate response.

"Um...I just wanted to protect you. As a superhero, it's my job to keep people safe. But I apparently didn't do a good job of that this time..." You dropped your head in shame. Marc squeezed your hand.

"But you got us out of there, didn't you? You saved us. And you weren't even transformed." He brought your head up to look at him. You smiled.

"Thanks, Marc. You're the best."

"Marc!"

The green- eyed boy looked up abruptly. His cheeks flushed red as he caught the eyes of all of his classmates. At the front Miss Mandelieve stood with her hands on her hips.

"Are you paying attention?" Her eyes glared at his. Marc hunched from embarrassment.

"S-sorry, ma'am. It won't happen again." Marc closed his journal and looked forward. The teacher shook her head.

"This is the fourth time this week you've dosed off in class. Go to the principal's office." Marc sat there for a moment thinking. "Now!" the teacher ordered.

Marc flinched and started gathering his things. He descended down the stairs. Chloe stuck her foot out and he tripped.

The blonde started laughing. "You're such a clutz!" Marc hurried to get his stuff together.

Chloe caught sight of something that said, "Diary of Lady Peacock". She got curious and opened it. Marc tried to take it from her but she held it above his head, reading.

"Oh, he thinks (Y/n) is Lady Peacock! Ha! As if!" Marc jumped for the book and snatched it from Chloe's hands. Miss Mandeleieve told Marc to go and Chloe to mind her own business.

Marc hurried out of the room, now worried about what he had done.

"You? A superhero? Impossible!"  You walked down the hall, wondering how all of these people could've possibly found out. They all stared at you as you passed.

It made you uncomfortable. "There's no way," a guy snickered. You ducked your head and trudged on.

You made it to class with everyone inside staring at you. You could feel your heart beating out of your chest. You took your seat and tried to avoid the gazes of the others.

You walked down the hall with your bag clutched tightly in your hands. Were you that useless? Everyone seemed to think it was a lie.

You couldn't possibly be Lady Peacock. They laughed. They mocked.

Why was it so hard to believe that you were a superhero? And how did they even find out? You didn't understand.

You felt a light tap on your shoulder. You turned to see Marinette. She held an expression of worry and sympathy. "(Y/n), I heard about what happened. Are you ok?"

You forced yourself to give a smile and a small nod of the head. "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks." You could feel the waver in your voice.

Marinette frowned. "Well, I'm here if you ever need someone." You averted your gaze and mumbled a thank you.

Someone called out to Marinette. She turned to you. "Sorry, I have to go. But if you need someone, I'm here for you."

You nodded your head in understanding as the bluenette ran off. You continued on your way. You reached the restroom and went in, locking the door behind you and sliding down the wall.

"What is wrong with me...?" you mumbled. Tears brimmed at the corners of your eyes. Your chest became tight and your body started shaking.

"Am I not enough?" You cried into your sleeves. You felt like you couldn't breathe.

You sat there sobbing. You didn't notice the purple butterfly flying about. Then it was dark.

You ran down the hall laughing as you went. "Oh, come on! Y'all were just talking about how incompetent I was! What's wrong?" You chased a group of kids into a room.

"Now you'll see how you made me feel!" You zapped them with your super charge. They turned into ugly versions of themselves.

You turned and made your way down the hall, blasting other kids and causing chaos. You were about to go into another classroom when someone called your name. "(Y/n)!"

You quirked an eyebrow and turned to see Marc. He had tears in his eyes and he was on his knees. You paused.

"(Y/n), I'm so sorry..."

You knelt down to his height. "What?" The black-haired boy only sat there shaking.

Had someone hurt him? Had someone made him cry? You didn't understand why he was crying.

"This is all my fault..." He continued to sob. "What are you talking about, Marc? Why are you crying?"

The male only shook his head in disappointment. "I started this. I'm the reason everyone knows. (Y/n), please forgive me." Wait...

"Are you talking about... You're the reason everyone knows my identity? Marc! How could you?!" You glared at the boy. "I trusted you!"

Marc cried. "I know! I'm sorry!" You grew angry.

"I-I'm sorry, (Y/n). I just-I love you!" You stopped. What sid he just say?

"I love you, (Y/n). And it was my fault that your secret was leaked. I just wanted to imagine that you loved me back, and then I started writing. Then Chloe found out and...now everyone knows." Marc wiped the tears grom his eyes. You were too shocked for words.

"I-I hate to see you like this, (Y/n). I'm such an idiot! I should've never wrote that story!" You watched as Marc leaned into your arms. Your heart ached.

"I...I love you too, Marc..."

The boy looked up at you with tear filled eyes. "W-what? You like me back?" You gave a small smile as reassurance.

Marc smiled and let out a chuckle. "I never expected you to actually feel the same..." His cheeks were a deep red.

"I love you, (Y/n), so much." Your heart swelled with glee at his confession. You were happy.

You could feel the akuma disappear as your body morphed back into its original form. The evil butterfly flew back to where it came from, leaving you and Marc sitting there enjoying each other's presence. You brought Marc in for a tight embrace.

"I love you too, Marc."

(A/n)- Hey, guys. Sorry if this doesn't make sense towards the end. I was half asleep when when writing about a third of it. But I hope you enjoyed it! Thanks for reading! Bye for now!
