Kol Mikaelson x Vampire!Reader

Kol watched from afar as you danced with Rebekah. You had known the original family for years, having been turned shortly after them. Esther, their mother, had turned you in the hopes that you would influence Klaus. She thought that the pair of you were in love with one another. She wasn't far off the mark however, the one you loved, who loved you back was Kol. You hadn't been daggered by Klaus in your lifetime, mainly because you had threated to tear his heart out. You almost had one night when he had interrupted your feeding. You weren't like the Mikaelsons, you didn't enjoy killing innocents nor would you kill, you would feed on people then wipe their memories.

Right now, the Mikaelson's were throwing a party for those they knew, to see who their allies were in this town. You were wearing a ball gown that made you appear as if you had walked out of a fairy-tale. Kol watched from the upper floors as you danced around with Rebekah. His vampire hearing picked up on your breathless laughter, and he caught Rebekah's eye. She muttered something you, he didn't catch what it was his sister said, but you had obviously listened to her. You stopped dancing and began to make your way to the stairs, grabbing a glass of champagne on your way. Kol watched as your dress caught the light and how you seemingly shimmered under the soft glow. "She's beautiful, is she not, brother?" Klaus questioned. The pair watched as you ascended the staircase. "That she is." Klaus moved to meet you at the top of the stairs, "My dear, Y/N." He kissed your hand with the air of a gentleman. "Klaus." He grinned at you and kissed your cheek before moving downstairs to meet some unfortunate soul who wouldn't make it through the night. You glided over to Kol. "Y/N, you look gorgeous."

"Thank you, Kol." He kissed your hand as his brother had done but his lips lingered on your skin. His lips curled into a smile when he heard your slight intake of breath. He stood straight again but still held your hand. "Are you enjoying the party, my dear."

"Not really." His brow furrowed, you and Rebekah had been planning this for months. "Why is that, may I ask?"

"You have not asked me to dance." He grinned at you. "Let me rectify that mistake then, my dear." He bowed formally over your hand. "My lady, may I please have this dance?" You smiled at him, "No, you took too long to ask. I am going to dance with Klaus instead." Pulling your hand from his grasp, you turned to walk away. "Y/N." He gently grabbed your elbow and pulled you back around. You laughed at his actions and he grinned. Kol tugged you into his body and wrapped an arm around your waist, his other hand moved to brush a lock of hair out of your face. "Perhaps I should have asked differently."

"Or sooner." It came out in a whisper. He chuckled lightly, before leaning down and kissing you lightly on the mouth. You pressed back, making the kiss softer. "That all you got, Mikaelson?" He shook his head barely moving his lips away from yours. He captured your lips in a slow, sweet kiss. "I have waited years for this, there is no way I am rushing this and risking losing you."

"You will not lose me, Kol." He chuckled, "You say that now."
