Glimpse of memory

Hearing the words of Kiran, the man shake his head as the only thought which was on his mind was that Kiran has gotten into the cross fire of his parent matters.

"Getting to Kingsville will take up a lot of time which I don't have right now, my house is close by, you will have to take your bath because you reek of dirt. I will give you some money and take you to the closer station so you can take a train home after bathing" said the man.

"Thanks sir, I'm so grateful" said Kiran as he bow his head.

The man wanted to ask about the kidnapper Kiran was talking about, but decided to let it be as he know he was lying and just needed help.

Kiran later seem to have know the flaws in his lie as they were still going in the direction he said the kidnapper were, but seeing as the man didn't say anything about it, he just let it slide.

"How come you weren't wearing cloth when running, did the kidnappers take your clothes" asked the man as he look at him through the front mirror.

"My clothes were used to tie me down, so I wasn't able to pick them as I was afraid when I saw the opportunity to run away" replied Kiran.

The man didn't say anything after hearing his word, he just kept on driving until they got to their destination.

Stepping down from the car, Kiran could see a house which wasn't that big but was moderate for common people unlike the rich.

"Follow me" said the man as he walked towards the door and opened it.

"Dad how come you are home so soon, what happened, you never do come home this early?" Asked a girl as she approached the man.

Kiran on seeing the girl, he just have one word which he could use to describe her in his mind 'beautiful'.

"Who's he?" Asked the girl as she look at Kiran who was also looking at her.

"Something came up so I decided to come check on you, don't worry about him, he will be leaving soon" said the man. "Follow me kid" said the man as he walk towards the bathroom.

"You know you. don't have to be so protective of me, I can take care of myself, and beside no one would dare come this side" said the girl.

Knowing what he means by taking him to the bathroom, Kiran walked inside before closing the door.

Looking around the bathroom, he couldn't see any sign of the shower as he was now surprised by how he was going to bath, but looking down he could see a bucket of water and a bowl.

'This is new' said Kiran inwardly as he pick the bowl up before dipping it to serve water from the bucket. 'This is so frustrating, so I have to continue serving water from this for me to keep on bathing, well it's better than nothing and there's always a first time for everything, I'm grateful'.

The moment he pour the cold water on his head, he quickly drop the bowl as his head began ringing in pain.

Going on his knees and holding his head, he could see image of himself as some glimpse of the memories of last night began pouring into his head.

After about two minutes of him gritting his teeth in pain as he doesn't want to alert the man and his daughter, the pain finally subside as his breathing was now going back to normal.

'Did I kill those animals in the forest?' Asked Kiran to himself as he continue lying on the ground. 'What's the meaning of this, that possibly can't be me' said Kiran to himself. 'What about my leg, I remember breaking it when I jumped out from the window?'.

Looking at his leg, he could see they were perfectly okay as he has been using it for the past hours without feeling anything like pain.

"Are you alright in there?" Asked the girl from the other side of the bathroom.

Hearing the voice of the girl, Kiran force himself to stand up so as to give a reply.

"I'm okay, I will be out soon" replied Kiran as he pick the bowl from the ground so as to continue his bath.

"Here's the towel for you to clean yourself after finish bathing, it's right beside the door and so is your clothes" said the girl before walking from the door.

'I have to leave now, I can't mistakenly harm these people who are kind to me, telling from what I just saw, I don't know what fully happened with those animals but I can tell it has something to do with me' said Kiran inwardly as he quickly started pouring the water on his body.

After finish bathing, he opened the door of the bathroom and stretched his hand so as to pick the clothes and towel.

Picking them up, he quickly start cleaning his body before wearing the clothes that has been presented to him. Although they were big for him, he doesn't seem to care about it as he walked towards the living room.

"Right on time, let's eat before going to the train station" said the man as he saw Kiran.

"I'm sorry sir, but I'm okay and I have to go home quickly, my mom would be devastated right now, you don't have to bother about taking me to the station, I will walk there myself" said Kiran as he was about opening the door to leave.

"Do you know how many miles it is to train station, wait so I can take you there" said the man quietly as he take his keys before walking out.

Reasoning the words of the man, Kiran nod his head in approval as it would be unreasonable for him to walk all the way to the train station which he doesn't even know the direction of.

"Thank you" said Kiran to the girl before turning to face the man and following him to enter the car before they drove away.
