Chapter 557: Like a cat with wings (Edited)

"What kind of animal do you think you're going to become, Harry?"

Ron asked with interest as soon as Harry put the mandrake leaf in his mouth.

"If there's no accident, it should be a stag like your Patronus." Before Harry could answer, Hermione, who was a good teacher, said, "Dumbledore once told Fish and I that in most cases, the Animagus form of the wizard and the Patronus form will remain the same."

"So, is there much chance that our Patronus is also a Magpie?". The twins looked at each other and said with some regret, "We would have liked a more imposing Patronus."

"It's not absolute," Hermione continued, "Some wizards have special Patronuses, like Dumbledore's phoenix, Animagi can't become.... Or Fish's tree. But in Harry's case, it's unlikely to change."

The Gryffindor students, most of them have a good impression of lions... except for one kitten who doesn't like the lions' ability to climb trees.

Fred interjected, "George and I were thinking of turning into cute cats like Fish, but instead we turned out to be magpies...."

"Well... to be honest," Fred came up with a new, more plausible excuse, "We thought that by turning ourselves into a cat, we could make nice with Mrs. Norris, and then go back to breaking school rules, and that would help us cover it up."

This excuse was accepted by Harry and the others, and was indeed something the twins could do.

Only the perceptive Fish sensed that they were not telling the truth, and he squinted at Fred, trying to see what was going on.

Fish successfully let himself be led on by him.

Fish frowned, distressed, "Minerva said that Animagus couldn't turn into a tree, otherwise Fish would have wanted to turn into a nya tree...."

Since his tree Patronus could defeat Voldemort, defeat Fluffy, and even Kanaloa was no match for his Patronus, Fish naturally thought he was the best....

Fish sighed helplessly.

Of course everyone knew the tree Fish was talking about, and Fish had even summoned the Patronus to show him when he talked about his fight with Voldemort.

"Yes nya!" Fish replied without hesitation, "A bird! Or any other animal with wings! Fish wants to be a flying animal like George and Fred nya!"

The idea came after a flying broom ride with the others, and after that flurry of flying, Fish found some joy in riding flying brooms: they were more autonomous.

Although the flying magical creatures followed Fish's commands, they were a little less responsive than the broom.

Of course, Fish didn't like the broomstick, which was less comfortable, so Fish resorted to Transfiguration.

Whether it was his own transformation from the Druid spells or Dumbledore's proposed Animagus Charm, Fish would have been satisfied with the ability to have his own wings and fly.

If possible, it would be better to become a more powerful bird, like an eagle or something.

Fish would have liked to be like Fawkes or Shadow, but Professor McGonagall told him that Animagus could only turn into normal animals.

As for Fish's unique Druidic transformation, Fish had never considered being anything other than a "cat" until he became a werewolf.

He had tried his own transformation after Dumbledore had suggested Fish practice the Animagus Charm, and it hadn't worked at all, so Fish now had to wait for his Animagus form to turn into an animal of his choice.

"What about you Ginny? What do you want to be?"

Having finished talking about the animal he wanted to become, Fish turned to Ginny, who had remained silent.

With a sly glance at Harry, the young woman replied with a groan, "I'm not sure...".

In fact, her target animal was a doe, as she had heard Professor Lupin and Sirius talk about Harry's mother's patronus being a doe.

If his own Animagus form was really a bird, would he turn himself into a cat with wings?
