Chapter 2 Twenty Kilos

[I advise you to train for the upcoming world martial arts tournament that is going to be held seven months later.]

"Who said I am going?" Kai said as he flipped a page of a book.

"What's that got to do with me? I am sure a powerful person or alien will come along to save the day or whatever." Kai said.

"Genius? Huh." Kai said as he put down the book that he just finished reading.

[Finally. Are you start going to punch people up and built up your name? Let's start with the guy that we met on our way home. Hercules was it?]

The system said. Although it was a mechanical voice it seems to be filled with enthusiasm.

"..." kai was speechless and surprised at how bloodthirsty and prideful the system is.

"Beginner gift?" Kai asked.

"I have no plan to train but I am intrigued so let's see what they are," Kai said.

"What is this?" Kai asked as he saw a pair of white wristbands and black boots.

[They are weighted clothing to help you with your training.]

"These in total weight 20 kg. There is no way I can move around in those things without damaging my muscles." Kai replied.

[Don't worry. Your potential is not low enough to be damaged by these sorts of weights. Although I cannot guarantee that weights over 50kg would not damage you. Anything below 40 kg is fine for your body.]

"How does something related to the endurance of a body is being associated with the potential stats?" Kai asked.

[There is a reasonable explanation for that]

"Fine. I get it. I just have to wear them right."

[For every day that you spend moving around while weighted clothing you will gain 1 extra stat in strength and 1 extra stat in stamina.]

"That seems tempting," Kai replied as he wore wrist bands and boots and started to pick up another book.

He knows that stats are hard to grind considering that even after reading more than 20 books he didn't get more than 5 stats in intelligence.

So getting guaranteed stats without having to do anything special tasks is not something he will pass upon.

Even if he didn't intend to participate in the martial arts tournament.

[You should capitalise on these items and work out to increase your stats. Why are you just picking up another book? Your experience gained is multiplied so you should use it wisely. Get guaranteed stats and experience by working out. Do push-ups. Pull up. Do anything apart from reading.]

The system complained.

"This is the time you can activate your Mute button," Kai said as he flip to the second page of the book he was reading.

Kai was an orphan.

As both of his parents died while he was still a kid in a laboratory explosion at Dr brief's lab.

He, as the only remaining relative of the two, received a large amount of compensation from his parents.

Not only that Dr brief got him a place and a job offer for him regardless of his education or physical condition if he ever wants to work at capsule corporations as an apology.

So in truth, he is particularly set for life and the only reason why he was still attending the school was to not let his parents down who are in another life.

"I think I need to buy new books," he said as he put down the book that he was reading and started to stretch his body.

The system said in joy. Well, he has a metallic voice but it is obvious that he was really happy and excited for today.

"I didn't think it would be this far from where I live," Kai said as he got off his motorcycle-like vehicle.

Of course, the machine was something that he was able to put together after gaining over 30 stats in intelligence.

But since he was still not on the level of bulma and dr briefs his machine was still outdated compared to what other people used.

And because of the limited resources, the machine looked ugly.

But he was still proud of the machine.

As it was his own creation.

[Do you want to remove the weights now?]

The system asked.

"Yeah," Kai said.

"But still though.Why didn't I get any stats for the Ki category?" Kin asked.

His wristbands and boots disappeared as he transformed his hideous machine back into a capsule.

The system said.

"So if I beat up Yamcha will you stop annoying me, It's been like seven months already," Kai asked.

[Well. Look at Mr confidence here. How about we make a bet? If you win the whole tournament I will stop nagging you about Yamcha once in for all and If I win you will have to.]

"I am not playing that game. We agreed that you will stop nagging me for two months If I beat up Yamcha and Yamcha alone. So as soon as I beat him up I am going straight back to home." Kai said.

The system said as Kai walked towards the registration booth.
