Chapter 3

The alarm went off in the hospital, screams were breaking out from everywhere, Ari runs to Thea and Lens room. The two girls was hiding beside the bed, Ari closes the door and pulls out a hand gun from under her skirt and peeks through a crack. (" dont tell me the shit that's been happening throughout the city, is now happening here") Ari thought, while she pulls her phone out, she calls Lillian. " be careful some kind of animal or hell I don't even know what they are is scaling the side of the building. We have over two dozen officers outside the building since there was more entering into the building...Where are you?" Lillian said while taking out her binoculars scanning the windows, she sees Ari at the third floor window and waves back at her. A large grey skinned thing crawls quickly across the window, Ari saw the large mouth with razor sharp teeth and it didn't have eyes or even eye sockets. The skin looked pulled over the spot, it was as if it was never born with them. The length of its arms covered both windows, its legs were hanging against the brick while its claws anchored it there. She puts her finger over her lips looking at the girls and ends her phone call, she slowly backs up away from the window. A scream from somewhere on the floor catches the creatures attention, it tikts it's head then crawls across the bars and brick with ease disappearing. " you both need to be quiet, it was blind, we'll slowly make our way to the stair well and had out the front" Ari said while looking out the door, up and down the hallway was clear as they run to get to the nurses station. Ari used her keys and all three enter the room, she unlocks a large metal cabinet and takes out the mace, batons and taser guns. " here take these" Ari hands them spray, baton and a taser, Len walks over grabbing two lab coats and hands one to Thea. She grabs several cans of spray and a few taser guns, loading the pockets. A noise in the back of the room catches their attention, Ari looks behind the desk seeing one of the nurses and janitors are huddled together hiding. " Ashley get up and grab these, follow us" Ari said The old man helps Ashley to her feet, they grab a baton and a taser, Ashley stares at the two girls that is next to Ari. " You need to lock them up and then we'll wait for the police to come get us" Ashley said while she gripped the baton making Ari sigh. " listen this has happened all over the city, we need to leave now or those things will get in here. I'm not leaving them, hopefully your right and the officers can save the others, but I'm leaving with them." Ari said while watching the CCTV video of the floor, on the west side of the floor, something is walking on all fours, the spine is on the outside of its body and has a long snout with half its skeleton showing. " well I guess the west side stair well is out of question, let's look at the East" Ari said while Len stared at some keys on the desk, her heart was breaking leaving all these people locked in. She swipes the keys, Thea watches her back up to the door while Len pleads with her eyes. Thea nods her head giving Lrn the ok that she won't tell and Thea turns her head back toward the others blocking Len from their view. Len quietly makes her way to the first couple of doors unlocking them quickly, a few women come out and she quickly quiets them. " there are animals in the building, we have to be quiet or you can go back in the room and I'll lock the door" Len whispered moving on to the next door, a hand quickly taps her shoulder then points down to the bottom of the door. Blood was slowly pooling around the bottom of the door, then a loud bang was heard from the other side and a large dent was now evident as Lrn stares at the large dent. The six girls backed away from the door, another loud bang was heard making the door bend leaving a large gaping hole on the side. A large clawed hand came out gripping the door and starts to violently shake the door as creaking metal was echoing down the hall. " run to the nurses station" Len said while taking a can of mace, spraying at the hole where the claw was. A loud snarl came from behind the door and a thrashing noise could be heard, Len was backing away from the door and a hand grabs her wrist.
