The common sense approach in fighting a high stakes battle was to send out exploratory attacks first to find out the capabilities of the opponent.

Of course that common sense only applies to situations where the opponent is an unknown.

Unfortunately for me, the Demon Guard pilots know everything about the Terrasaur. Or so they thought.

But nonetheless, it led to the situation where they immediately unleashed their strongest attacks to quickly bring me down and remove me from the Colosseum where every minute not spent following the itinerary where billions of dollars were already at stake meant the loss of millions of dollars.

It would be highly unprofitable for them to have me stay on the battlefield for too long.

Unless, of course, the bets on or against me were spiking upwards. Then in that case, it would be more profitable for the management to allow my fight to drag on for slightly longer to allow the bets and the money to roll in.
