His dark eyes began to open slowly. He saw a green reflection in front of him and was confused because the ceiling was not green.

"Wah!" a female scream caught his attention, then when he came to his senses he noticed that Cheelai fell to the ground, "You finally awake sir!"

"Cheelai?" Gohan looked at her rather strangely as she sat up, "How long have I slept?"

"A whole day sir" Cheelai stood up firmly.

Gohan put his hands to his head, maybe using Kaio-ken with Super Saiyan two was crazy that cost his entire body dearly.

'I'm fine anyway' Gohan thought getting up, "By the way, what were you doing here?"

Gohan then walked to the central room seeing that Iru and Kab were there before a panel.

"What's up?" the saiyan asked them.

"Emperor, you finally woke up! Are you alright?" they asked going over to Gohan, who nodded.

"It was a difficult fight but I'm fine, did something important happen in my absence?" Gohan asked them and they both shook their heads at that.

Gohan looked at the panel, and saw that a ship was landing at the headquarters. Accompanied by Iru and Kab he went out to see who he was, "How is everything going Merus?"

Cheelai, who was walking in that area, peeked out. When he saw the galactic patrol logo on a ship, he hurried around.

"I'm not complaining" Merus got out of the ship, it wasn't the first time he came because he brought the patrolmen who joined the empire, "Did you have a battle?"

"I had one recently, against a powerful enemy" Gohan replied, surprised that Merus knew, "Why?"

"I was trying to contact you all day yesterday but you didn't answer" Merus answered smiling, "Can we talk alone?"

"Yes" Gohan nodded and led Merus towards a room. Merus saw that in several rooms there were people training hard and in others resting.

"I see that you have a good balance among your soldiers" Merus commented after having seen that.

"It is true that they must increase their powers, but they must also rest. I want them to see me as their sovereign, not as a beast"

"I can say that my empire is based on respect and loyalty, not fear like Frieza did in his moment" the saiyan answered.

"Are you afraid that they will betray you?" Merus asked.

"No. Not at all, I've gotten all my soldiers to respect me. Fear makes you give up like a coward, but respect makes you fight like a brave man" Gohan replied looking at him.

Merus looked at him amazed by the wisdom of the boy, who at such a young age was able to understand the principles of existence.

"Every one of Frieza's soldiers was willing to betray him if someone stronger showed up, mine will fight for me" Gohan spoke.

"Well, I hope so" Merus added, nodding.

They reached the room. Gohan leaned against the wall waiting for Merus to tell him what he had to say, which seemed to be something important.

"Do you remember that I told you that we healed you when you were dying?" asked Merus seriously.

"Yeah, I remember" Gohan nodded seriously.

"Actually, it was impossible to save your life by conventional methods. You were minutes away from dying" commented the patrolman.

"Oh, how did you save me?" Gohan felt curious about it, "What method did you use?"

"I had to give you a slight percentage of God Ki to rebuild your spirit" Merus replied sternly and Gohan widened his eyes.

"What?" the saiyan was confused, but he decided to ascertain the matter, "Are you a god?"

"No, I'm something like that. The fact is that by giving you God Ki you were able to recover from death" Merus replied and Gohan nodded.

"So I owe you a lot Merus, does that mean that now I can use God Ki?" Gohan wanted to hide the illusion from him but it was impossible.

"Nah, the God Ki I gave you was to restore your spirit, to be able to use it you would have to reach your limit as a mortal"

"I am forbidden to perform such acts so I want to train you so that one day you will be able to use God Ki" Merus proposed smiling.

Gohan probed at the first thing Merus said. He still hadn't reached his mortal limits, he could still increase his powers without divine Ki.

"And who knows if one day you will become capable of using God Ki" the patrolman commented happily.

"Of course!" Gohan exclaimed before being left alone in the room, "Ehehehe I didn't expect it but I'm quite satisfied"

So Merus saved his spirit with God Ki, that also meant that there was a slight essence of God Ki left inside his spirit.

Gohan had trained in the Divine Realm learning from the ancient Kami, who had a slight understanding of God Ki by the way.
