The File

It was a busy day for Lan Xiang as many of the villagers came to seek his medical assistance for themselves.

They all were suffering from miner fever and Lan Xiang gave them all appropriate medicines to cure their fever. All while treating his villagers Lan Xiang still thought about Chief Wang.

All the things that Chief Wang had told him were just reverting in his head. He couldn't shook them away from his mind.

So with all those thoughts he still performed all his duties as a doctor.

Then some other villagers also came to him to seek his advice regarding the village festival as to how they can make this year's festival memorable for everyone.

Then he also gave them some advices regarding it,

Lan Xiang: "We have always done the same thing every year for the festival. We have opened our village doors for city people so that they visit our village and can learn about our history and can enjoy their time with their family members while eating villages delicacy and shopping in our villages mart. So this year we can do one thing we can create a new attraction for the people."

All the villagers whi were with him at that time were confused by his words as to, how they can create a new attraction ? This question was in everyone's mind.

Then understanding their gaze which on him Lan Xiang told them,

Lan Xiang: "The people in the city love to see fireworks in sky and they all enjoy it very much. So it will great if we can arrange a fireworks show for our village festival and our village people will also love the fireworks show."

Hearing his answer all the villagers were quite impressed and they all thought this idea can make their village festival more memorable for everyone who will attend this year's festival. So they all agreed to his idea.

Then they all talked about their villages decoration for the festival and some other topics and then they all including Lan Xiang decided to visit Chief Wang to tell him about their thinking for the village festival and to get his permission about it.

The reason for which Lan Xiang agreed to join them to meet Chief Wang because he also wanted to talk to Chief Wang about the matter that only the two of them know about.

So with this they all headed towards the village welfare centre and after walking for about five minutes they all reached their.

To their surprise they found that Chief Wang was already standing in front of the village welfare centre, because he was coming from his daily round of the village to know everything is fine or not in the village and if someone needs anything.

Seeing some of his villagers and Lan Xiang coming to him, Chief Wang was really surprised.

So he asked them,

Chief Wang: "It is really pleasant surprise that you all are here. So why are all here ?"

Hearing his question one of the villager told him the real reason why they all came to meet him.

Hearing his fellow villager Chief Wang looked at all of them who had an expectant look in their eyes and then he said,

Chief Wang: "This year is my 70th village festival attendance and the I also wanted that my villagers do get a memorable village festival this year and the idea that you all have come up with is really good. So you all have my permission to go ahead and arrange the fireworks show for everyone who will be attending our village annual festival."

The reason why Chief Wang agreed to their idea because he wanted to make this years festival memorable for his villagers and secondly this idea was from Lan Xiang and he believed that he will always think the best for their village. So for these two reasons he agreed to their idea.

After getting his permission of Chief Wang everyone who were present there at that time became very delighted and thanked Chief Wang for his permission.

Then Lan Xiang came forward and said,

Lan Xiang: "Everyone do not worry about the fireworks show. I will arrange it."

Chief Wang: "Xiang'er do you know anyone who can do this work ?"

Lan Xiang: "Chief wang and my fellow villagers, I have friend living in Sun city I will call him to get his for this matter because he works at the fireworks company in the Sun city. I am sure he will help us."

Hearing Lan Xiang's words everyone was really and then they talked about their villages decoration for the festival and Chief Wang decided that they should get some professional help for it. Sonhe decided that he will contact some professional decorators for the work.

At this Chief Wang and Lan Xiang had no idea that these two decisions which they have taken will become the most regretting decision for their entire life.

They all agreed to his decision and then they all left for their respective works leaving Lan Xiang and Chief Wang alone.

Then Chief Wang asked Lan Xiang if he had something to say to him and Lan Xiang nodded saying that he has something to discuss with him.

Hearing that Lan Xiang wanted to discuss something with him Chief Wang told him to come to his office and then both moved towards Chief Wang's office together. They both didn't uttered a single word from their mouth and just walked in to Chief Wang's office.

Then after reaching his office they both sat in fron of each other and then Chief Wang asked him,

Chief Wang: "Xiang'er tell me what is the matter that you want to talk with me ?"

Lan Xiang: "Uncle Wang I talk with you about everything that you told me yesterday night at mu house."

Hearing the topic Chief Wang was not very much surprised because he knew that Lan Xiang would come to him talk about the matter.

Then both of them started their discussion about this matter and to make Lan Xiang understood the matter more easily Chief Wang pointed towards a certain file placed on his table and told Lan Xiang to take look inside the file.

Then Lan Xiang took the file up from the table and opened it and started to read the file to know about the content written in the file.

When he started to read the file page by page Lan Xiang became very shocked and the same time he also became very furious.

The contents written inside the file contained the detailed report about the extraction of the star piece buried deep in their village.

The file also hold the entire details about money they were going to spend on the extraction project which is 100 billion dollars. This much amount made Lan Xiang dumbfounded. That's not all the file also had a point that made Lan Xiang furious.

The specific point was they wanted the entire Jiang village to be handed over to them.

They wanted everyone living in the Jiang village to leave their home, their village and go away from there and that's not all they even wrote that if they all won't leave the village they will kill everyone in the village be it small kid to old people, from male to female, to rich to to poor, no one will be left alive in their village.

Reading these details in the file Lan Xiang became more furious that threw away that file towards the door of Chief Wang's office and even his anger has consumed him and he punched the table in Chief Wang's office in his anger.

Seeing Lan Xiang angry for the first time in his life made Chief Wang worried and fearfull so he got up from his sit and walked towards Lan Xiang and put his hands on his shoulders and started to calm him down.

Then hearing Chief Wang Lan Xiang calmed down and asked something to Chief Wang,

Lan Xiang: "I am sorry Uncle Wang, my anger just consumed me and I couldn't control myself."

Chief Wang: "It's good that you have came back to your senses and calmed down. Don't be angry from now on, okay."

Lan Xiang: "I understand Uncle Wang, I will not get angry from on."

Chief Wang: "Good."

Lan Xiang: "Uncle Wang, if you don't mind can I ask you something ?"

Chief Wang: "Please feel free to ask me anything Xiang'er."

Lan Xiang: "Where is the cause of our problem buried Uncle Wang ? Where is that star piece buried deep in our village ?"

Chief Wang: "I see so you want to know the location of the burial place of the star piece."

Lan Xiang: "Yes, Uncle Wang I want to know the place where it is buried."

Chief Wang: "It is very near to us and I think it is the right time for you to know the location. Come with me I will show the location."

Having said this Chief wang and Lan Xiang left Chief Wang's office and went straight to the location of the burial site of the star piece.

After walking for sometimes they both have reached the burial place of the star piece. After reaching the Chief Wang said,

Chief Wang: "Xiang'er this is the place where the star piece is buried deep down for more than 700 years."

Upon seeing the place where the star piece was buried Lan Xiang became really shocked. He couldn't believe what he was seeing because the place was very familiar to him and he always saw that place everyday and every time. Seeing this he asked Chief Wang in disbelief,

Lan Xiang: "Uncle Wang are you sure that it is the right place where the star piece is buried ?"

Chief Wang: "Yes, Xiang'er it is the place where the star piece is buried."

In utter shock Lan Xiang said,

Lan Xiang: "Here under the Jiang river !!!"

Chief Wang: "Yes, it is buried deep under the Jiang river."

The star piece which once brought the biggest misfortune for the entire Jiang village was buried was deep under the Jiang river.

Then Chief Wang started to tell him the history of how the star piece was buried down under the Jiang river.

Chief Wang: "I have already told you about the history of our village and the star piece but that was not completeled because the main part of the story is still remain to be heard which is The Birth of Jiang Village."

Chief Wang: " As you know already that because of the star piece our village was on the verge of complete extermination but some of our ancestors took charge of saving of our village and decided to bury the star piece inside the earth to protect the lives of the villagers."

Chief Wang: "Then they started to dig a big cavity hole in this place where Jiang river is now. Then take total of one month without sleeping, day and night to dig the hole and after finally completely finishing their digging work they with the help of their villagers buried the star piece in the hole in three days of continuous blood and sweat efforts."

Chief Wang: "After the star piece is buried deep the lives of the villagers started to get better from the day it was buried but the next something unexpected happened the next day of burial."

Lan Xiang who was hearing the story patiently perked up his ears with this new turn of events. Then Chief Wang continued his story.

Chief Wang: "In the exact next day of burial, one of the villagers went to the place of burial and he saw that the entire burial place was completely filled with water mysteriously in just the time span of one night."

(A/N : The star piece here in the story is actually a meteorite which fell from the space which has some mysterious properties in it. One of them is the creation of water when it comes in contact with soil. The burial place of the star piece was in created in the form of a big river place in which very big quantityof water could be stored.)

Chief Wang: "Yes, the entire burial has turned into a big river. That man was really shocked to see it so he called the entire village and soon everyone of the village gathered at that place and they all were also shocked to see the scene in front them and then one of elder of the village told them that it is the sign of the God that the star piece should be buried deep down there and everyone should forget about it for forever.

Chief Wang: "Hearing the elders word everyone of the village agreed and decided that they will never talk about the star piece. Since a river was created at that place then they all decided to name the river as 'Jiang' which in literal sense means river."

Chief Wang: "After that day they never talked about the star piece and started to live their lives normal as usual but just to let the next generations of descendants of them know about the danger they recorded the inciden⁰t in a book and passed down to the village heads."

Hearing all these things Lan Xiang became more surprised and shocked and he took sometime to process all the things in his mind.

After processing all the details he looked at the Jiang river and then looked at the Chief Wang and said, "Uncle Wang we must protect this secret at any cost."

Hearing him Chief Wang just nodded. But unknown to them it is already very late, because from the very beginning they both have been followed by a masked man who was hiding in near them inside the jungle who made a sound of "click click click" of camera and took some photos of both of them and of Jiang river from his phone.

This masked man has been following Chief Wang from the last week and right now whatever Chief Wang and Lan Xiang has talked about he has recorded everything and then that man send all the photos and videos to someone with some messages.

Masked Man: "Boss I have found some interesting secrets today and I am sending everything to you.

Photo1, photo2, photo3, video."

Boss of the Masked Man: "Good job. Now go back from their and wait for the nest order."

Masked Man: "Yes boss understood."

After getting this message from his boss the masked man left the place.

After that both Chief Wang and Lan Xiang left the Jiang river and went to their respective places.
