The Starry Night

The two families were gathered under one roof for their dinner.

The guests for this dinner is the Wang family and the host of the dinner is the Lan family.

They both were neighbors of each other and had know each other for a very long time, so it was normal for them to have dinner at each other's places.

Then they also lived in the same village so they were no strangers to each other to have this kind of merry time in each other's presence.

This thing is really nice as they were able to bond with each other to have a good harmonious relationship between them.

As per this dinner Lan Xiang also had a motive of his own. He wanted to talk with chief Wang about his problem and also the strangers whom he had seen today in his village for the first time.

Yes, Lan Xiang wanted to inquire anmbout those people because he found them suspicious and they all seemed to him like bad people.

So for these things going on in his mind he wanted to confront chief Wang about all these things, so that he will get the answers for all his questions.

Then all of the people gathered on the dining table to have the dinner. The eldest person chief Wang sitted on the middle chair of the dining table.

Lan Xiang sat on his left and had some trivial talk with him. Whereas Zhen Lu, Lan Yue and A'Xin were arranging the dishes and plates on the dinner table.

Then in a few minutes all of the dishes are on the table with plates and other cutleries on the dining table.

Then Zhen Lu started to serve the dishes which she and the children prepared for the dinner which are, rice, sweet and sour chicken, noddles, vegetable soup and garlic chicken.

All of these dishes were looking very delicious and mouth watering.

It is known in the entire Jiang village that Zhen Lu is a great cook and all of the dishes that she make were really tasty and good.

Then the children also helped Zhen Lu and in no time all the dishes were served to everyone on their plates and bowls.

Then chief Wang suggested that everyone should sit together and have dinner together.

As per chief Wang's suggestion everyone sat on the dining table together.

Zhen Lu sat by her husband's side, while Lan Yue sat on the right side of chief Wang with A'Xin oh his side.

When chief Wang looked all of their faces a bright smile came to his face without his knowledge and he just enjoyed this moment.

For some reasons chief Wangs heart and mind told him to forget about everything and just enjoy this moment to you Mr hearts content.

So he just did what he felt right and just the moment of happiness with his all children as he also considered Lan Xiang, Zhen Lu and Lan Yue also his family.

It can be said that he was really happy in that particular moment.

Everyone also stared at chief Wang and smiled at him.

Then chief Wang came out of his happy reverie and told everyone to start eating.

At this moment Lan Xiang insisted that chief Wang should start eating first.

Then chief Wang took the chopsticks which was placed in front of him and started to eat the noodles first.

After eating the noodles he was really happy and then also started to eat both the chicken dishes and rice.

He was really satisfied with the taste of all the dishes and he was also very satisfied with the cooking of Zhen Lu.

Then he started to praise Zhen Lu for her cooking and the foods she has prepared.

Chief Wang: "Lu'er, all the foods taste really delicious and I am really satisfied with it."

Zhen Lu: "Thank you do much uncle Wang for your kind praises but I am not only person who should take credit for the dishes."

Gearing this chief Wang was a little confused, he asked her about the meaning of this,

Chief Wang: "What do you mean Lu'er?"

Zhen Lu: "It means that I am not the only who have made all the dishes for the dinner."

Chief Wang: "Oh, somebody has helped you to make the dishes. Who is that person?"

Zhen Lu: "Actually, it is not only one person but teo people who helped me. They are Lan Yue and your granddaughter A'Xin."

Chief Wang: "I see the kids have really grown up, and they also know how make dishes. Good job kids."

Hearing chief Wang's praises both Lan Yue and A'Xin thanked him and said, "Thank you grandfather" in unison.

Then they all started to eat their dinner with pleasant talks with each other and then they all discussed about the sports competition about happen in a few days and the training of the kids.

They also discussed about the preparation for the village annual festival and the expectations chief Wang had for this year's festival.

They all were very happy with all the things going on with their lives and village.

After that they all finished their dinner and Zhen Lu with the help of A'Xin and Lan Yue took all plates and cutleries to the kitchen sink to wash and clean them.

Then the three of started to wash and clean the plates and cutleries, as they Hage divided the work.

Zhen Lu would wash the plates and cutleries, A'Xin would clean the plates and cutleries and Lan Yue would put them back in their respective places.

Like this they all worked together in the kitchen. While the three of them worked together Lan Xiang proposed to chief Wang to come with him to their gardens to sit there to talk with each other.

While these two people went to the Lan's garden in the kitchen the three people finished their work and Zhen Lu told Lan Yue and A'Xin to go talk with each other as she will finish the rest of the work in the kitchen.

Hearing his mother Lan Yue told A'Xin to come their terrace to watch the night sky with him.

A'Xin agreed with his idea and followed behind him to their terrace.

Then both reached at Lan Yue's terrace and sat on the terrace floor.

After sitting on the terrace floor Lan Yue looked up in the sky and found that tonight's sky has the most number of starts.

So while looking at the sky he said, "Look up A'Xin the sky is full of stars tonight. It is the starry night and it is really beautiful."

Hearing him, A'Xin looked towards the sky and said, "Yes, it is really beautiful and the sky has some many beautiful stars on it. It is truly beautiful."

Both of them just stared at the sky for a while and enjoyed the beautiful view which is presented in front of him.

They just remained silent and did not utter a single word from their mouths this whole time.

After staring the sky and stars for a while Lan Yue said something unexpected to A'Xin.

Lan Yue: "A'Xin, do you have any interest in playing the female lead in the drama that we are doing for the village annual festival."

A'Xin: "Whar are you saying Yue'er? You know that I can't go on the stage due to my stage fright."

Lan Yue: "I know A'Xin, I am asking you not for playing in the main drama but I want you help me to rehearse the drama role as the female lead, because you have a copy the script and dialogues of the female lead with you."

A'Xin: "Oh, you want my help in the rehearsals of the drama. Then I have no problem with that. I have read the script and dialogues and I remember some of it, so we can start the practice anytime you want."

Lan Yue: "Okay, so if you are ready and don't mind then can we start now?"

A'Xin: "Right now!!! Okay I am ready."

Lan Yue: "Okay now let's start the practice."

After saying this Lan Yue got up from the floor and put his right hand in front of the sitting A'Xin and told her to hold it and got up.

A'Xin hold his hand got up from the floor and smiled at him and then Lan Yue asked her, "Shall we start?"

Hearing it A'Xin just nodded her head and smiled at him.

After it they both started the rehearsal for the play in the male and female lead characters who were Ling Han and Xing Mei.

After it they both started their rehearsal and in that time Zhen Lu was in the kitchen and while all of them were busy in their work, a very serious discuss was going on the Lan garden in between Lan Xiang and chief Wang.

This serious discussion which they were having is kind of a indication for the looming danger which is going to befall on their village very soon, about which they and anyone in the village doesn't have the slightest idea.
