Chapter 15: Issei's Homicidal Girlfriend

Four days later, Gorou helps with the paperworks for Ray's new apartment and shop. He manages to buy a decent apartment that can fit 5 people and rent the shop for his future convenience store.

"Remember to bring Cheshire-chan to play with us okay. This poor housewife will be very lonely staying at home alone. At least four- no, twice a week is enough." Miki Hyoudou keeps cuddling Cheshire while kneeling on the floor, reluctant to release a cute cinnamon roll.

Cheshire is visibly more cheerful and happy after staying in the Hyoudou household for a while. Even Issei starts to bloom sisterly love for Cheshire although Ray is there to always keep an eye on him after his parents told Ray about Issei's pervert tendency.

"Bye bye Uncle Gorou, Auntie Miki." Cheshire waved them goodbye before she went to Ray.

"Bye Bye Cheshire-chan." Gorou waved back while Miki was sobbing dramatically as if her daughter was about to leave them too far away and never able to meet again.

"Come on darling, you can't show her an ugly cry like this. You can meet her again in a few days." Gorou helps coax his wife.

"Shut up you, how many years had it been and you cannot give me another daughter. Even Issei once wished for a sibling yet you…" Miki looked at her husband in disappointment but didn't say it out loud.

Gorou looks like he just got a sucker punch in the gut by his wife. Ray sighed and bid them farewell before he left the husband and wife to their antics.

Ray then brings Cheshire to his arm before carrying her to their new home. They spend some time walking around the neighborhood. Many housewives, highschool girls and old people either talking about him and his cute Cheshire or taking pictures.

"Papa, I want to eat that. Auntie Miki always gives Cheshire delicious ice-cream." Cheshire pointed at the ice-cream truck that parked near the park. It was afternoon and quite a sunny day. So, Ray relent and let her eat one.

Ray walks to the truck and buys one peppermint flavoured ice-cream while Cheshire gets the strawberry flavoured one.

"Oh, cute daughter you have there, mister. Here, the ice-cream is on the house." The ice-cream guy said. I was about to reject getting it free but Cheshire was faster to grab the offered ice-cream and thanked the guy.

"No worries, no worries." The ice-cream guy looks at the customers now lining up after seeing him giving free ice-cream to Cheshire.

Devious guy indeed but I can't blame a guy trying to do business. Also, it's a mutual benefit to both parties.

Then I found a bench under the shade of a tree. Both of us sit under the tree and enjoy the cold dessert cooling down our bodies. Suddenly someone called out my name. My actual real name too.

"Uncle Raymond! Cheshire-chan!" Issei called out to us.

Now that I remember, his parents said that Issei left early for a date this morning.

When I look at Issei, there is another girl behind him. Her hair is black and very long until her hip. Her eyes are violet colour, looking very attractive which would definitely congratulate Issei for getting such a beauty as a girlfriend.

"Yo, Issei. Are you sure you should get sidetracked on your date? Your girlfriend might get offended, you know." I advised Issei while doing the Yare Yare Daze act of fake disappointment on Issei.

Issei then realized his mistake and turned to his girlfriend to apologize. However his girlfriend just smiled and told him it's okay.

"Nice to meet you, Issei's uncle and Issei's cute cousin. I am Yuuma Amano, Issei's girlfriend." She said with a light blush on her cheek. Issei also blushed for some reason.

When I heard her introduction, I felt a sense of deja vu, like he had heard this name before and she had the exact same voice. He couldn't recall it properly and put it aside when Issei and his girlfriend excuse themselves to continue their date.

"Ah, take care Issei-kun and Yuuma-san too." I replied stiffly because I can't get used to using prefixes that the Japanese have.

Then Cheshire and I quickly finish our Ice-cream before we return to our new apartment. On our way to the apartment, I passed by a group of young students and overheard them talking about anime.

The previous unanswered question about Yuuma's familiar names was suddenly answered when I remembered the anime Highschool DxD. Issei is the protagonist if he remembered properly that become a demon after being killed by a fallen angel disguised as his girlfriend. The girlfriend's name is Yuuma Amano.

Quickly I rushed back to the apartment and summoned all of my operators to guard Cheshire for a bit while I went to save Issei. Even if we are not really related, I am indebted to his parents and I cannot just let him be killed like this.

"Please stay here for a bit, okay, Cheshire? I'm going to save Issei for a bit." I rub her head then give a kiss on her forehead before summoning my operators.

"Guard her with your lives." I commanded with authority filled in my voice.

"Affirmative, High Commander Ray." My operators saluted and replied using the communication device even if we are in close proximity.

The reason they called me as High Commander is because I reached level 100 and even exceeded the level cap. It happened last night while I was clearing nightmare mode.

Since I obtained the Annihilator skill, my grind has become a hundredfold easier, literally. My damage bonuses increase 1% per stack per enemy killed and my highest stack is 13k stacks. An obscene amount of damage up that I can one hit a savage boss with a single critical attack. I have to purposely die just to stop because it's almost morning.

My level is now 118 and I obtained BLACK Hardplate set after reaching level 100. I use Adamantine to infuse each piece of the Hardplate set except the helmet which I already have one infused with Adamantine.

According to my status, I already reach 99% resistance to physical, thermal, energy and toxic attacks. However I doubt it would translate literally to the real world if magic is involved. This brings me to additional skill trees like Assault and Medic skill tree and the Defender Unique Skill Tree.

For now I ignore the SAS 4 skill tree and focus on the defender skill tree. Since I have 45 skill points, I select Magic Resistance, Barrier, Anti Magic Barrier and Reactive Barrier. I put ten points into each of those skills and the remaining 5 into Tough Body skill that reduce any damage I receive by 2% per level and up to a maximum of 50%.

(Stats I will add in aux chapter so I will not waste word counts on explanations. Which I guess everyone will agree.)

With this, I will have better protection against magic and the Reactive Barrier can defend me once per minute from a burst of large amounts of damage.

I put on an oversized hoodie and baggy pants to hide the ACE Suit that I am wearing, then I skip the road and start jumping from building to building. The sun is about to set and Issei's death should be around evening in the anime. I move faster and start to overclock my suit to move faster toward the park.

After 3 minutes of parkouring, I can see the park now devoid of people. All people actively avoid the park and even straight up fainted if they try to forcefully enter the park for whatever reason. I saw Issei who is now staring at Yuuma or Raynare showing her back toward Issei.

Yuuma then shed her disguise and create a light spear in her hand. Issei had closed his eyes under Yuuma or Raynare's request and was unable to see the incoming threat.

Shouting to Issei will not make any difference as he will be shocked and stunned in place. I jumped with my strength increased by my suit then equipped my best armor set before landing in front of Issei, tanking the light spear that was about to stab the defenceless Issei.

My heavy landing caused the pavement to crack and shocked Issei to open his eyes. The light spear did stab me but rather than physically, it was more like a visual effect that indicated the attack reached me before an energy barrier expanded from my body to repel the light spear. In my interface, I can see my Barrier durability dropped by 2k.

In retaliation, I use Hold The Line skill to increase my bullet penetration and damage. The bulky and heavy gatling gun, Proposition appeared in my hand and spinned its barrel before I started to fill her body with 45 bullets per second. It takes ten seconds to unload the entire magazine on her.

Issei looks terrified and stunned by the fact that his girlfriend isn't a human and is trying to kill him. The deafening gunfire also made Issei instinctively stiffened as his fight or flight response is confused between running away or staying behind his saviour.

With the help of cybernetic and implants, Ray's aim is very accurate and his bullet tears open a head sized hole in Raynare's abdomen.

Raynare tried to say something but only wet gurgling was heard from her throat that was filled with blood and bile. She then fell limp on the floor.

"Thank goodness I arrived on time. Are you okay, Issei?" I unequip the armor and leave only the ACE Suit on that covered by his clothes.

"Uncle Raymond!" Issei exclaimed in surprise when seeing that his saviour is his own uncle.

"Why is Yuuma become that winged creature then trying to kill me? Also what is that armor and gun just now?" Issei bombarded me with questions but I told him that I will answer later. For now, we have to escape before the magic that ward off people dissipated.

I take out a luggage bag that I have in my inventory to store Raynare's alive or dead body inside and escaped with Issei that I carried like a sack on my shoulder. I weaving through alleys until I reach the apartment which already dark and most people are either having dinner or just returned home.

After reached my apartment, I drop the luggage and told the Medic operator to try heal Raynare who is still alive but barely from the faint breathing. Supernatural race is more durable than a human, no doubt they can still live despite heavy blood loss and a hole the size of a head on her abdomen.

Seeing more than a dozen soldiers like people in the apartment guarding his cousin, Issei have more and more questions pop up inside his mind. He can see that the soldier higlighted in blue is healing Raynare by shoving a lunchbox size medkit into her body. The wound is healing tho, he can only explain it as magic.

"So, mein nephew, Issei. I hope that you can keep what happened here just between us and no one else including your parents. Can you promise that?" I said while I sit opposite of him in a interrogation room style.

"Yes, definitely… I can feel this is anything but simple. I don't want to involve my father and mother." Issei agreed in a heartbeat.

"Fiuh, thank goodness I didn't need to wipe your memories. So, let me explain to you what your girlfriend is..." I put away the oversized syringe filled with suspiciously bright green substance before explaining the supernatural world at the base level that I know to Issei.

"So, you are telling me that this… Raynare disguising as Yuuma to lure me before killing me because of this sacred gear that the Biblical god granted to human race is inside of me?"

"Basically yes." I nodded while feeding this gluttonous kitten another serving of premium well done seared salmon fillet from Shokugeki no Souma world.

"Then there is two prominent devil in Kuoh Academy that will kill to have me as the servant of their… peerage?"

"Yes"

"And they can guarantee me a harem if I can climb rank as devil and gained my own peerage?" Issei then asked this question with undivided seriousness.

"Yes" I replied again before I facepalmed.

"Tell me, where can I find them! Sign me in please! Let me become a devil please!" Issei shouted in glee but I shut him up by unloading entire magazine of nerf gun on his face.

"Please, I know your chronic perversion is incurable at the final stage 5 but please let me handle this in case they did recruit you. You understand right, Issei. Devil is great at swindling human, don't regret if you suddenly signed a contract of eternal servitude then send to a gold mine somewhere in hell equivalent of Africa." I sighed again as I told Issei, hoping that he will let me help him.

I manage to recall greater detail about Highschool DxD anime. Rias Gremory purposely let Issei die in Raynare hand to make Issei grateful to Rias and gain his loyalty. This is an act of manipulation and deciet. This proof that Rias, although genuinely like Issei, she still manipulated him like a fool he is that chase after boobs all day long.

Although I already know this, I didn't want to change the destiny of Issei that become Rias's peerage member since he himself wanted to become devil even after I explained all the downside of it. Then I will let him join but I will help Issei by becoming his leverage to negotiate a better condition for him.

If one had watched Highschool DxD, isn't it weird that Issei already done many deed that is very beneficial to Underworld and devil race but his promotion to high class devil is extremely slow. The feat like killing Kokabiel and help achieve peace between three factions should be enough merit for high class promotion and yet he remain a low class for a very long time. His presence to devil race as Red Dragon Emperor should also speed up his promotion to high class.

Due to that theory, I suspect that Rias's older brother, Sirzech Lucifer manipulated Issei's promotion to make him stay longer in Rias peerage to become sort of Rias's bodyguard. A theory that is very possible due to Sirzech being a siscon that willing to do anything to protect his younger sister.

"Anyway, remember to bring them to me if they want to recruit you to join their peerage. If you ignore my advice then I will castrate you in your sleep." I threaten his family jewel which is very effective

"Sir, yes sir." Issei jump from his seat and stand straighter than my sexuality after seeing Mil-tan before saluted.

"Good, you can go back now. One of my summon will accompany you in case another fallen angel attacked you." I ordered an Assault operator to guard Issei on his way back.

After he leave, I shift my focus to Raynare. Before I could do anything, Cheshire tugged my hoodie.

"More orange fish please." Cheshire look at me with the cutest puppy or rather kitty eyes she could muster.

I mustn't fall for this. I mustn't fall for this… I chant in my heart before opening my eyes. I was defeated in an instant! Her begging face is too cute that I probably just died and revived in an instant.

"Fine, this is the last one. Any more than this, I would bankrupt… literally." I buy another premium salmon and slowly fed it to her.

"Thank you papa. You are the best meow. *Chu*" Cheshire raise her body a little before giving me a kiss on my cheek.

'Damnit, still this young and already learn how to manipulate a person… too powerful indeed…' I told myself while my hand unconscious buy another premium salmon that cost 200k points each.

Yeah, Shokugeki no Souma world materials is high class and the best of the best which cost a lot to buy. This gluttonous kitty will bankrupt me sooner or later if she keep eating 5 every meal.

Sigh, the arduous journey of parenthood…
