They seemed like they were planning on making the most out of his supposed death by taking care of as many spirit beasts as they could.

Though it would be a lie to say that there weren't people who were happy to see Huang Xie charging out like this. There were quite a few of them that wanted to see Huang Xie die, especially those that had fragments of their souls taken by him.

They didn't want to see him after this, so they were hoping that he would be killed by these spirit beasts.

At the same time, it would be their own petty form of revenge.

It was just too bad that this hope of theirs didn't come true.
