Fighting Ghosts 

By the time John had been kidnapped for forty-eight hours, there were so many new developments in his case that everyone working on it was pushing hard against the clock and against their shortcomings, the police and the Robinson family who had the strongest information network after the ones that belong to the Whitehouse were being outsmarted by a dead man.

"…I will inform them and get back to you," Richard ended the call he was having with Garcia who had to run down the police station to supervise the interrogation there himself when the main suspect behind the kidnapping was found dead.
