Chapter 11 Goblin Chief

I told you I don't want to hurt you," Ray said to the human as he kept his spears on his waist. Now that Ray looked at him closely, he saw the screen appear.

"So the system also shows human stats but no health," Ray muttered to himself, 

"What do you want?" Alex questioned him, obviously still scared.

"Do you know where I can find a human village?" Ray asked the scared human without thinking.

"Human village! A beast is a beast, so you are looking for more humans to kill." Alex exclaimed in shock.

"I forgot I look like a beast," Ray muttered. He couldn't stay in any human village because he was a beast.

Ray was thinking about what he should do next when Alex grabbed his sword and attacked.

Ray dodged his attack and drew out his spears. 

"If you attack me again, I will knock you out," Ray warned Alex, scaring the human that started moving backwards.

Just as he wanted to talk more with Alex, the door opened again.

"What now!!" Ray shouted as he was tired of fighting. Two goblins entered the room with blood on their mouth as they had just finished eating.

The goblin looked at the ground and found five of his kind slaughtered. The two of them rushed back inside the room where they came from.

"Yea run for your life," Ray said as he saw them running.

*Roar*

A loud roaring sound alerted Ray and Alex, the wall where the goblin came from was smashed, and a large goblin came outside along with five average ones.

"Shit, they brought their boss," Ray exclaimed as he brought out his spears. Alex ran towards the door leading to the room where Ray killed the orcs in, The system prompt came in.

"Nice! time to level up," Ray smiled at the goblin chief, who held one big sword in his hands. Then, looking behind the goblins into the room they came from, he was surprised at what he saw.

Dead Humans are on tables all over the room, some only left with very little flesh on their bones. The floor was covered in dried blood, half-rotten pieces of meat, and the occasional limb. Seeing this "dining room" of the goblins, Ray almost vomited. 

'So beasts eat humans. That was why Alex attacked me. When I asked about the village, he thought I wanted to devour humans.' Ray realized this after seeing the room.

The five goblins followed Alex to where he ran too, Ray wanted to follow them, but the goblin chief charged at him.

"I pray he survives," Ray said. The goblin chief roared angrily and attacked with its giant sword.

"increase," Ray muttered as he blocked the heavy attack with both spears. He felt the power behind the attack and the strength difference between him and the goblin chief.

"Damn, He is strong!"

He jumped backward and threw one of his spears at the head of the goblin chief, the goblin blocked the spear with its hands, and the spear pierced him in the process.

Annoyed, the goblin chief removed the spear and threw it back at Ray, 

*Boom* 

The spear made a hole in the ground after Ray barely managed to dodge it.

"Woah! Lucky," Ray muttered while regaining his footing. 

'What kind of attack power does this goblin chief have?' not giving Ray time to think. Instead, the goblin chief attacked with a flurry of swings.

Ray tried to dodge as many as possible and only parried unavoidable attacks with his spears.

The goblin chief left dents on the ground every time it missed an attack. Ray suspected it was the power of the goblin chief's sword, but he still didn't know what it was.

The goblin chief didn't stop and swung his sword ferociously at Ray. With how the goblin chief moved, Ray knew the goblin was slower than him because he could evade most attacks.

*Clang! Clang! Clang!*

The sound of metal clashing echoed in the room as Ray and the goblin chief were still battling against one another.

The goblin chief was stronger than Ray, but the humanoid cat made up for the lacking strength with more agility, making it impossible for either side to gain the upper hand.

*Boom*

The goblin chief's sword landed on the wall after Ray dodged his attack by jumping backward. The blade got stuck in the wall, and the goblin chief struggled to remove it.

Ray used this opportunity to strike. He dashed forward and hit the goblin chief in the chest, forcing the monster to let go of its sword to dodge the attack.

Missing his first attack, Ray charged toward the goblin again because he knew goblins were weak in hand combat but versed in using swords.

The goblin chief having no time to try and regain its blade attacked him with its hands, but Ray leaped upward and slashed the goblin chief through his eyes, attempting to blind it.

*Slash*

The goblin chief roared loudly as his eyes were destroyed. Now blind and thrashing around in a desperate attempt to hit Ray. 

'hmm, nice move,' Ray praised himself after getting a safe distance away from the blind monster.

"Time to die," Ray mumbled as he prepared to throw his spear.

He had always loved throwing things since he was little and was very accurate when hitting targets.

Throwing his spear at the goblin chief, he hits directly between the monster's bleeding eyes, piercing the skull and destroying the brain with scary accuracy.

'Seems that my higher stats improved my throwing even more,' he thought while being imprest by himself.

With the spear in its head, the goblin chief staggered a bit before falling to the ground, making Ray sigh in relief that the monster was finally dead.

*Ding*

"Only 50? I thought I would get a 70 or a 100," Ray muttered, a little annoyed before suddenly remembering the human fighting five goblins.

"Shit Alex," Ray shouted as he ran to the other room.

Arriving in the next room, he found Alex on the floor. He killed three goblins before being severely injured, with two remaining once looming over him.

Noticing someone entering the room, the goblins turned and saw Ray. They were surprised because they thought he had been killed by their chief.

"No, No, what have you done" Ray shouted. The goblin looked at themselves and attacked Ray simultaneously. He quickly killed the two goblins and ran to Alex, but it was too late. Alex had been stabbed in the stomach and died.
