Meanwhile…

The sound of the siren resonated in the air as multiple vehicles drove past the containers in one of the biggest forts in the country. Luca sat calmly in the back seat of one of the cars while Maoi drove the car.

'I'm nervous…' she told herself, calming her breathing at the thought of the situation. Although her surface didn't show her nervousness, her heart had been ticklish since earlier. 

Tonight, their agenda was to arrest Xander. They had gathered enough evidence to arrest him, and this time, she was certain there was nothing Xander could do to save himself. Still, a big part of her heart was nervous. 

"Are you alright, chief?" Luca nearly flinched when Maoi spoke after a long silence. "You seem a little pale."

Luca glanced at the mirror to see Maoi staring at her through it. 

"I'm alright," she reassured, setting her eyes on the window on the side. "Just tired."
