Luca stayed until the funeral ended. She accompanied Jacques and the grieving family for a little while before driving off to the location where Xander first picked her up days ago. Since she knew she would have to ride in Xander's car, Luca asked Maddison to drive her. 

Sitting in the front passenger seat, Luca glanced at the driver's seat where Maddison was at. She pursed her lips, looking away. 

'She seemed really different,' Luca thought, letting out a shallow sigh. Ever since yesterday, Maddison's aura had been different, unlike the time she knew nothing. 

"Rex will be just around the area of Xander's Villa." Maddison's soft yet stern voice broke her silence after a while. "If anything happened, he will pull you out."

"Nothing will happen."

"Chief." Maddison slowed down, casting Luca a cursory look. "Can you fight like how you used to?"

"Well." Luca shrugged. "I haven't tested it."
