"Rani wait!" Dalrae said, when she saw Rania's white wolf whirr past her.

No one in their pack had ever seen Rania shift into her wolf from the day she had turned sixteen. Many had assumed that hers would be the big black wolf since her parents had black wolves too.

They didn't think that the alpha they had rejected would be the white wolf of their century, which could also explain why when Rania shifted into her wolf and left, the cheers died down instantly.

"Get out of my fucking way!" Dalrae said to one of the warriors who was still holding her horse, before she grabbed her horse and rushed after Rania.

Rania was always fast in her human form and now in her wolf form, she was going to be hard to reach. And Dalrae knew it would be hard to find her, especially now that all the mind links had been cut.
