It was an insult.
A huge insult to the King and the Queen as well as Ulva. Yet, in front of Matthew, Drigo could do nothing aside from glaring at him. Soon, he moved his gaze to Ava who looked just as surprised and irritated as them. Slowly, a plan appeared on Drigo's mind.
While Drigo was silently scheming, the King and the Queen already took their seats. Both of them had serene expressions on their faces. Obviously, everyone was uncomfortable with what Ava and Matthew did, but the two were quick to change their mood.
"I do not appreciate your disrespect, Matthew." This time, it was the queen who spoke. "We all know how— "
"Enough — " The King interrupted his wife. "We are not here to talk about that."
When Ava heard that, she couldn't help but stare at the King. Ava was standing behind Matthew and since the King was sitting right across Matthew, she could clearly see the older man's expression.
