"I am sorry, sweetheart, I couldn't find your Ipad in the car," he said while I was frozen in my seat.

"It is okay, daddy," she said while she was still smiling at her father while I didn't know what to do, but I needed to do something before embarrassing myself, and I couldn't believe I was talking to his daughter. I felt my body shook when I remembered was the little girl I saw sleeping in his bed the night I discovered Tyler's lies, and I felt my knees weaken as I stood up and got the courage to speak to Anika again.

"It is nice to see you, Anika," I said as I got up, and she returned to her unfriendly facade as she looked at me.

 I turned around only to hit something hard, and I realized it was Ty's muscular frame, and I could feel my entire body was on fire when I felt his strong hands holding my waist to steady me.
