"Max... " Talia moved so that she was in-between the two men, facing her manager with a stern gaze.
"Let's go outside and talk."
"Talk?" Max chuckled before rolling his eyes which narrowed to slits
"I think you've had your chance, Talia."
"What's going on?" Talia froze when she felt Jephthah close to her.
"He doesn't even know. Poor kid." Max mumbled as he turned away to sit on the couch, casually pulling out the things he bought.
"Know what?" Jephthah dropped the ice-cream before coming to stand Infront of her. To him now, it was just him and her sorting out their differences. Why was Talia hiding something from him?
Talia bit down on her lips worriedly, forcing herself to meet his eyes, but she just couldn't.
"You're not supposed to be here." She whispered, eyes cast down to the ground, her nails fumbling against each other.
His pupils dilated as he stared down at her.
